31 March 2026: UN/CEFACT is pleased to launch a call for participation for the project “Digital Product Passport: Overview and Fundamental Principles.”

The global transition toward a circular and sustainable economy requires enhanced transparency, traceability, and accessibility of product-related information throughout the entire product lifecycle. The Digital Product Passport (DPP) is emerging as a key enabler by providing a product-specific, electronically accessible set of data supporting sustainability, compliance, and innovation.

This project will develop a high-level Business Requirements Specification (BRS) to provide a harmonized overview of the DPP concept, architecture, governance principles, and its relationship with existing standards and regulatory initiatives, supporting globally interoperable Digital Product Passport systems.

31 March 2026: UNECE is pleased to announce the release of UN/LOCODE 2025-1 with over 116,000 locations worldwide, UN/LOCODE continues to serve as a critical global reference for identifying ports, terminals, logistics hubs, and other key trade and transport locations. This latest release reflects contributions from more than 40 countries, as well as collaboration with international partners including the International Maritime Organization, Universal Postal Union, IATA, and others.
