What do you think constitutes cheating? Checking out another girl, giving someone the wrong impression on purpose, holding hands, anything sexual, and so on..
If you were stranded on a desert island, what are five things that you would bring?:
1. Tom
2. Music
3. Blankets
4. Food
5. Tent
What are some of your favorite bands (no more than 10)?: Rascall Flatts, Lonestar, The Eagles, Bread, Pat Benatar.. Really, anything Country or Classic Rock.
What are some of your favorite movies (no more than 10)?: Girl Interrupted, Enough, Hope Floats...
What are some of your favorite books and/or authors (no more than 10)? Regina's Song, and anything by Marion Zimmer Bradley, JRR Tolkien
What is your favorite famous love, and why?: Arwen and Aragorn from Lord of the Rings. I admire the willingness that Arwen had to give up everything and to keep hope no matter the circumstances. I've always admired how committed they were. I think another reason I love them so much is because my dad introduced me to them. He gave me a very old LOTR book collection, and took me to every movie. Not only do I love the characters, and their love, but I love what they remind me of.
The Love:
How did you two meet?: Well, we live 6 houses away from eachother, and we went to the same Jr High. We rode the same bus to and from school, and always sat near eachother. We had a couple classes together, and became really good friends. We went to formal, seprately, but ended up together the entire time. We hung out all the time, and finally one friday night at the very beginning of last summer we were laying on my drive way when he asked me out.
List some things about him/her that makes you totally adore him/her: Oh wow, there are so many. One of the thing I adore about him is his support. I've got alot of challenges in my life, and he is always there for me through thick and thin. He is willing to help me through all the challenges in my life. I also adore how sweet he is, and how caring. I am his world, and I know it not because he tells me (though he does) but because he SHOWS me it by his actions. I also love his facial expressions, and his eyes - They tell me everything. I can tell his mood friend his expressions. I love his physical features, and they way he carries himself. I love how gentle he is with me, how precious he makes me feel. His intelligence, how he can out smart me at so much (And that is hard to admit for me) and how he always give me small facts about the weirdest things. Because he won't let an argument drag on, he always makes us work it out. I like how similar we are, but yet different at the same time. I adore everything about him - The good and the bad.
Something romantic/sweet you have done for him/her: Oh, I think the one that sticks out the most was one day he was having a horrible day. Nothing could seem to go right for him. So before we went to my house, I called my mom and had her run to the store to pick up a cheesecake (Kind of a joke between us, and red frosting) and then when we got to my house my mom distracted him while I went to the cheesecake and wrote "I love you" on the plate and had it sitting out for him when I brought him inside the house. He looked at me and just smiled and almost teared up. He gave me a huge hug, and thanked me numerous. It was so adorable seeing his reaction.
Something romantic/sweet he/she has done for you: Oh wow, there has been so many. I think the thing that always sticks out in my head as my favorite is the first romantic thing he did for me. One morning Thomas came to the door (I had no idea he was coming) so my dad answered. Tom told me dad he needed to go get his sweater, so my dad let him in. I saw him, and he was like "Sweater?" My back was hurt - So I told him it was in my room, and he could go get it. He knew I'd say this. So he went upstairs to get it. A couple minutes later, he came back downstairs, sweater in hand - And gave me a kiss goodbye, and left. Now, keep in mind.. The night before, I had injured my back to where I could hardly walk (pinched nerve).. and got into a huge fight with my grandparents (They hate me, we will leave it at that).. and Tom knew about all this. Well, I was being nieve, and I went upstairs around noon.. And as I opened my door - There lying on my bed was 14 white roses (My favorite flower!) and Kit Kats (My favorite candy)... I just couldn't help but smile, and that really made my day.. Espically after everything that happened the night before. And that is just one of the most romantic things he has done for me... I could name millions more.
Are you thinking about marriage at all? Or do you have any other dreams?: I want to marry Thomas, and at times I plan out our wedding in my head. We both think about it, and we both want it. But not now - We are way to young and we both want to go to college, and get good jobs before we get married. But yes, we think about it.
Have you talked about having children? Have you thought about names, and if so, what are they?: We've talked about it, and we want children. I love kids. We want three kids. Hopefully 2 boys, and a girl. For our boy names... Matthew Keigh and Bryan John, and for our girl Tori June or Tori Jeanne.
Share a story about anything (what you two did the other day, the first time you said "I love you," about your kids, anything!): I will go with the first time he said “I love you”… We were on the way home from a long day. I hate the world series for softball all day, and then that night him and my parents and my team all went to a Colorado Rockies game. I spent the entire evening cuddled up with him, watching the sport I love most. It was a blast. In the car on the way home, I was lying with my head in his lab, half asleep because I had worked so hard all day playing ball… And he was just staring down at me, brushing my hair back when he whispered, “I love watching you sleep, Jess. Your so adorable. I love you.” It was the cutest thing, it just made my day!
Let us into a secret fantasy you have (preferably not sexual, something like a dream date or the perfect evening): This is tough.. I have a couple ideas of a perfect date. My first one would be walking down on the shores of a beach during sunset (I've never been to a beach before).. Our feet barely in the water, holding hands. As the sun goes down, we lie down in the sand.. And just stare up at the stars. And my other one is... Going snowboarding (Or skiing) for an entire day, just Tom and I... and then when the slopes close, going back to our condo, changing - Going to a nice resturant, and then coming back to the condo... being in the hot tub for a while, relaxing and kissing. Then, falling asleep next to the fireplace, as the snow falls gently outside.
Have you met his/her family? How do you all get along?: Yes, I've met his family and they love me. His brother told he feels like an older brother to me, and his mom told me she thinks of me like a daughter. His grandparents are always asking when they get to see me next. They have become like a second family to me and I spent just as much time with them, as my own family.
If there is only one thing that possibly could (but doesn't!) hold you back, what is it (major difference in thinking, ideals, etc and so on)?: We really don’t have to many evident differences, except small things like different kinds of tastes in music (He is starting to like country) and small things like that. If anything, I guess the only thing that doesn’t hold us back, but could have is the fact that he is pretty pessimistic, but I help him get through things – And help home become more optimistic, and he tells me he greatly appreciates that. Really, that’s all I can think of.
Do you two have any traditions?: We exchange Christmas gifts on St Nicks Day - December 6th. Originally it was just because I'm impatient, and so we just decided to make it our tradition.
Explain something that makes your relationship so perfect: One thing? Hmm… I would choose the fact that we have been through so much, and we are still together despite everything. We each have a large amount of our own challenges, but we are there for each other and we help each other through it, because we love each other. Without his support, I don’t know where I’d be.
Do you two have a song? If so, which one? Why exactly is this your song? We have a couple songs, the most evident one is “Desperado” by The Eagles. This is our song because on New Years Eve, it’s the song we slow danced to… It was the most romantic thing, there is a long background story with it – If you’d like to know, just ask. Another song that is ours is “You Are” by Jimmy Wayne. We both like country, and the lyrics fit us well so we use it as our song.
