Can't open email folder

Hi, I need some help please.

One of the subfolders in Sea Monkey mail seems to have become corrupted. Every time I click on it, Sea Monkey crashes. This has only started happening today and I've changed nothing in my system.

I'm using Sea Monkey 2.13.12 on Mac Os 10.5.8.

There are some important posts in that folder that I need quite urgently. Is there anything I can do that will fix the problem and let me get to the posts?

Moving emails from one thunderbird to the next

I have located the profile files, but now I am at a loss as to how to do this.

On one computer, I have some emails. On another I have all my old emails. I want to move my old emails over to the new computer. But the directions I have seem a bit unclear on how I can combine the emails from both PCs without overwriting anything that might be important.

I'm using Vista. I just want to combine two email profiles onto one thunderbird.

Unresponsive Scripts - Please HELP

About a week ago, I started getting a hella lot of unresponsive script alerts. They kept coming almost every few seconds so, in annoyance, I turned off the feature that alerts me. Now, however, any activity in a browser stops and is (Not Responding) just as often and the experience lasts for just under 30 seconds every time.

I looked online and the only “fix” was to trick the computer into giving the scripts more time to run before it freezes my PC and gives me another (Not Responding). Which does not actually address the issue of why I keep getting scripts that seem to be unresponsive.

Now, I don't quite know the root cause of the issue. It could be Facebook-related, browser-related, or something wrong with my computer.

At about the time that the troubles started, Facebook made some changes to its apps, particularly relating to Adobe Flash programs, and that may be the cause of the matter. I also learned that I am not the only one having this problem as many of my Facebook friends are experiencing similar problems and on other browsers.

This leads me to believe that it is either something connected to Facebook or that whatever program I use to run scripts is responsible.

Therefore, it seems that my best course of action would be to reinstall whatever program I am using to run my scripts. Yet, I thought I would check with you guys to see if you know anything about this that could help.

This problem started up about a week ago, and up until that time, everything worked alright.

I use Windows Vista and Firefox is my preferred browser, although I have noticed problems when working with IE and Chrome. I have also tried to reinstall Adobe Flash with no improvement.

So, should I reinstall whatever program that I am using to run scripts and if so, how should I go about doing that? Or do you suggest something else?

Uh. My Firefox doesn't want to work with the standard Win7 system dialogs anymore - like, Open... or Save as... It just freezes and ignores any buttons I press (including those in the upper right corners of the windows). Doesn't even properly display the dialogs - leaves the field in the right blank, or doesn't show the header and the bookmarks in the left.
Oh, and it gobbles up 50% of my CPU as long as it's working, whether I'm using said dialogs or not.
Said dialogs also work fine in other browsers, and other dialogs work fine in Firefox.

It seems to me that that happened after installing the two new minor releases.

Anyone with similar problems? Maybe any ideas on how to handle it, except for turning off plugins until that stops?
I've googled, and the only advice related I've found so far is clearing the downloads list. Of course, didn't help.
I'm going with disabling plugins some time later, but I have a bunch of open tabs to save and reopen each time, so if there's any way around that, please help me find it.

UPD: AutoPager is to blame, surprisingly enough.
I will delete the post, if needed.

I'm running FF 3.6.13 on Vista, and memory is leaking like a sieve. As a test, I disabled EVERY add-on, plug-in, and extension. I went to google.com and just sat there.

When I started at 11:10, FF had about 25M of private working memory. An hour later, it has almost 30M.

Where do I report this? Is there a leak-stop extension somewhere?

Sea Monkey help

I tried to join an online conference using Sea Monkey (the latest version) and something in it crashed Sea Monkey. I am using a Mac with Mac Os 10.5.8. Every time I try to restart Sea Monkey it goes straight to the page that crashed it and thus crashes again before I can do anything. I've tried restarting but it has no affect.

Does anyone know how I can get out of this. Is there a file lurking somewhere that I can ditch that will stop Sea Monkey going straight to that page?

Edit: I've now realised that it must be something else that is crashing it as when I try to start Firefox it also crashes. Any ideas?

I am looking for lists of common words, slang terms, etc. to add to my personal spell check dictionary in FireFox, while it works for most things, common internet words, slang, and abbreviations get flagged as being wrong and I would like to find a list I can just drop into the persdict.DAT file instead of adding each word individually as it comes up in daily use...

Does anybody know of someplace I could find such a list???

New tab --> Opening adjacent now instead of at the end of tabs

Alright, I've noticed since the most recent update of Firefox (current version: 3.6.2) the following behavior with new tabs:

If I open a new tab from a current tab, Firefox places the new tab immediately adjacent to my current tab instead of at the end of all currently open tabs. So if I have 3 tabs currently open, click a link in tab 1, it places the new tab immediately after tab 1 instead of after tab 3. It used to place any new tab at the end of all currently open tabs (e.g. after tab 3).

I want to know if there is any way to change it back to what it used to be: I want any new tab to open at the end of all currently open tabs. It's what I'm used to, so when I'm searching for a new tab that I just created, I find myself clicking on the last tab instead of, say, the second tab to find my new tab. It's annoying, especially if you have quite a few tabs open and right click to "open link in new tab" from one of the tabs in the middle.

I have looked through Firefox's options, including on the Tabs page, and I cannot find an option to change this. Any pointers would be great.

Thanks!

Transferring FireFox Bookmarks

I want to retrieve my old bookmarks and place them on my new PC. Problem is, I can't just log into the old PC. I have to log in via a separate hard drive then access my old files that way.

Meaning that the most logical method would be to just locate the file with all my bookmarks and copy and paste it to my new bookmarks file on the new PC.

Does that make sense?

EDIT: I guess it can't be done because Mozilla wants to avoid bookmark theft or something. If I can't log on to the computer properly, then I can't steal the files.

Mozilla bug? Fedora bug? Or PEBKAC?

The following was observed under Firefox 3.5.8, Fedora Core Linux. While coding a form, I created the following attached CSS rule:

<style type="text/css">
p.explain textarea,input,select { margin-left:6em; }
</style>

applied against the following (name= is obfuscated):

<p class="explain">(text here)<br/>
<input type="text" value="" name="sb" /></p>
<p class="explain">(text here)<br/>
<select name="mya">
<option value="1">Fake</option>
</select>
</p>
<p class="explain">(text here)<br/>
<textarea style="width: 50%;" name="orca"></textarea>
</p>

The result should have been textarea, input, and select elements indented by 6em.

Instead only input and select were indented. When I changed the rule to:

p.explain input,select,textarea

only select and textarea were indented.

It seems that no matter the tag order, the first comma 'd term is not indented.

Questions:
Am I just blind? Missing a CSS rule? Not seeing an obvious PEBKAC?

OR
Is this a Mozilla.org grade bug (I suck at searching Bugzilla), which should be filed with them, or something I should report to the Fedora project and let them push it upstream? Or pull a fix downstream for that matter?

I tried asking on Thunderbird support but I just keep having someone talk in circles instead of answering my question and looking at my Junk mail settings and telling me what I did wrong. I think I may EXPLODE.
So now I come to you, please this is driving me nutter butters.

So please please please help?

Cursor disappearance

I found some articles regarding a cursor disappearance bug in Firefox, but my problem seems to be different. It's not so much that my curos disappears, but it resets itself away from a text box. So I will click on a text box, but when the page is done loading it will remove itself. Meanwhile, I'll be looking down and typing only to look up after hitting backspace to find that Firefox has interpreted my backspace to mean "go back a page!"

This seems to be a recent problem, maybe linked to the latest update. I'm using 3.5.6 right now. Any help would be appreciated.

Bookmark Toolbar not displaying

So I've had no issues with firefox up until last night. After FF crashed on me and I rebooted the program i noticed the bookmark toolbar is gone! It's a grey area where all my bookmarks used to me.

I've upgraded to the most recent FF, cleared the cache but to no avail. Restarted my mac and that didn't fix the problem either.

I do have the bookmarks on the side, yet i don't know why they aren't displaying on the top.

Cut for pic

rendering problem

My Firefox updated to version 3.5.5 and now the LJ entry view looks strange, missing pictures plus the horrible Times New Roman font.
On my portal page everything looks fine [www.livejournal.com/portal/], but to have the usual style by the entries I must switch to IE view:

page rendered by ff engine
page rendered by ie engine

On my old PC I have a previous version of Firefox and everything is ok there.
What can I do to solve it without switching to ie view? Is it possible they will fix it in the next firefox update?

Thanks!

Help with new Mozilla?

.
I needed a new school program that requires IE, which I long ago took off my computer. The school IT guy said he'd put it on. To do so, he took Mozilla OFF!

When I demanded that it be replaced, he could only download 3.5.3. I had not upgraded from 2.something; I was quite happy with that version. Now, I'm going crazy. Right now, two specific problems.

The biggie is my menu bar. In Mozilla 2-whatever, the URLs I loaded stayed in the same place all the time. If I loaded in a certain order, I knew to look for personal stuff at the top, fanfiction in the middle, and business stuff at the bottom.

Now, my menu bar seems to have no rhyme or reason. It doesn't leave my URLs in one place. But it also does not move most-recently-used to the top, as IE does/used to. (Haven't used it in two years; not sure what it does now.) Nor does it align the URLs in alphabetical order.

In other words, when I look for a URL, I have no idea where it will be in the list, which is a great time-waster. Is there any way I can stabilize this? URLs staying where I put them is my preference, but alphabetical would be acceptable.

Second problem, not so big, but irritating. At the right edge of the toolbar is a window that shows various search engines. I don't want it. I was able to delete all the search engines except Wikipedia; it won't go. I managed to move the separation line over until the search window is very small, but I would like it gone. Under 'Customize Toolbar', it says 'You can add or remove items by dragging to or from the toolbars'. But it won't let me remove that search window, or the 'home' icon, which I also don't want.

Can anyone help? Thanks so much.

(PS if there's a way to take off 3.5.3 and put back 2.anything, I'd really appreciate some directions. Thanks again.)
.

I had to redownload firefox due to having to get the computer wiped.

How can I make the symbols show up? They used to before.

My profile has chess pieces at the bottom but they show up as boxes to me now and any other kanji-like langusges show up as weird boxes too.

help please? :)

Feel free to delete if this isn't allowed. If this problem has already been solved, could I have a link to the solution?

Hello everyone, I installed Firefox a couple of months ago without administrator privileges (thanks to this tutorial). It functioned beautifully for a few months but out of nowhere, I recently came across a few problems.

1. My Firefox pop-up blocker is on, but I keep getting random pop-ups from time to time. I already did a virus scan, uninstalled/reinstalled Firefox, and deleted old versions of Firefox, but it didn't do anything.

2. Firefox won't load certain pages completely: such as my LJ friends list, my tumblr dashboard, facebook, list of youtube comments, etc. It says it's finished loading but only 3/4 of the page shows up, and I can't scroll further. It's quite annoying.

screenshot:

(entry content/usernames censored for the privacy of the LJ user).

In the image, you can see I can't scroll any further, but my entire friends list page won't load (plus the link to view previous entries isn't visible).

Is there any way to fix this problem without the need for administrator rights? I already tried to find out the admin password, but nothing worked.

Thank you! :)

Mozilla seems to be controlling my fonts

I updated with the newest version yesterday and somehow, my fonts somehow got changed (everything's Arial Narrow. And small. SO small) and I can't make them revert to their original fonts (esp the ones I use for livejournal). I tried to change my CSS codes, but mozilla seems to be overriding it (fonts for my eljay are: helvetica and georgia for the links). I tried to change the font options in the tools, but it's either nothing happens (for eljay) or the font's are bit too big. -_-

Does anyone else have a problem like this?

Extension Comms?

Just a random question: are there any comms on LJ where you can post searching for an extension? Such as "I'm looking for an extension to help me do X. It'd be cool if it could do Y also, but that's not a deal-breaker. Anyone know of such a beast?"
