Popstars
Popstars is a reality television franchise where a number of people audition for a place in a new pop group. The original version aired in New Zealand in 1999. Many countries have had their own versions of the show and it was the inspiration for Pop Idol and later The X Factor.
The most famous groups to be made on the show include TrueBliss and Hear'Say. The girl group Girls Aloud was also created on the UK's spin-off version of Popstars.
