So here's what I'm thinking...

I'm seriously considering becoming a web page designer. I've always enjoyed messing around with web page stuff on the side, but to actually do it for a living would be sweet. Here's my plan:

- Go to Macomb for 2 years for an associates degree in MACA web page design.
- Waitress and substitute teach while I'm going to school.
- Work on websites in the meantime to build up my "resume".

I think that's the plan. What do you think? Good? Awful? Don't care? Awesome...

Oh! And I thought this video was HILARIOUS... enjoy!

Crazy!

So, I haven't talked about this, but now that I understand the situation in its entirety, I can post a LJ entry about.

I no longer work at Great Oaks academy.

However, I was not fired. I was simply put medical leave. I now have the next two weeks off. I will be getting paid my regular pay until August 9th. My husband was pretty stoked about that, and I am relieved.

I, in the meantime, have to redo my digestive system. I'm now on a heavy dose of laxative, enemas, the works. Then I have to slooooowly work back into eating regular food. Bleh. Greaaaaaaat. I have something called an Ileus. Read about it when you have time.

At least they found something wrong with me when I went to the emergency room on Tuesday. And I was given good advice of what to tell the kids: I was having major digestive problems (thank you, Laura). It probably wasn't a good idea to tell the kids that I couldn't poop.

So... yeah. I'm pretty much freed up for the next two weeks. Woohoo! And now, to give myself ANOTHER enema... hooray... :-P

I normally don't like dogs, but...

For some reason, I *LOVE* this dog:

Dug the Dog

Tee hee hee...

Meh

So, just got back from seeing "Angels and Demons" and, while I thought the movie itself was great, I thought they left a lot out and it was disappointing for me.

On that note, I stayed home sick since Wednesday when I started throwing up unexpectedly. I went to the doctor, had all sorts of tests done, and they came up with... nothing. Nada. No blockage, no ulcer, no nothing. While most people would be relieved, it makes me crazy. Between the occasional passing out, constipation on and off, and the usual bits of throwing up, I know it has to be something, but no one can seem to figure out what that is. It worries me a LOT.

Continuing on that note, I got a letter from the principal today, stating that I would no longer be useful next year, because after reallocating everything, they decided to do without Spanish. Yay. That's only the second time this has happened. What a surprise. ::yawn::

This is why I'm going into something completely new for next year. I'm starting to completely sell off all the stuff that I've bought over the years to fund my education into something completely new. Web page design, most likely. That is what I am good at, so that's what I shall do. If I could, I would just leave right now, but I won't. I want to get paid until the end of the summer, so I'll just stick it out. Meh.

And now, I shall go to bed. Hopefully, things will look better in the morning.

Slowly...

16 days...

I'm waiting...

I feel like I'm a better teacher because I just refuse to deal with kids' crap. Maybe I should stick with teaching, but teach an actual grade with only 25-30 kids.

Must teach 3rd grade and 5th grade this afternoon. 5th grade is learning how to salsa dance! Woohoo!

Memorial Day is this weekend! Who's having a BBQ? Should I have one at my house? I just don't know...

Score!

Yay! I've been okayed to have a field trip with the middle school kids! Hooray!

::happy dance:: ::happy dance::

Now, it just sucks because there are only 4 weeks left of school... lame! And it only took FOUR WEEKS for them to give me the okay for a field trip... meh...

What job should I go for next year?

Spanish teacher - give it another try!
0(0.0%)
2nd-4th teacher - do what you originally wanted to
3(75.0%)
Website designer - I'm pretty good at it!
0(0.0%)
Occupational therapist - at least you have experience...
1(25.0%)
Secretary for Masco - as long as they pay me...
0(0.0%)
Singer for "Rock Band" - just for fun...
0(0.0%)
It's been a loooooooooooooong time since I updated.

School is good, but I'm pretty sure that I want to get into something else next year. Perhaps teaching 3rd or 4th grade. I hate to say it, but my Spanish abilities are all but extinct. Meh.

Maybe I'll just move on to something new and do computer stuff, like with websites or graphic design and such... I dunno...

Jeff's is convinced that my job sucks, even with the summer off. He says I should either get a job just teaching one class or go work for him at Masco... what I'd be doing, I have no idea, nor what I'd be getting paid...

All I know is that I have 5 weeks until I am done for the summer. Aahhh... I can't wait.

P.S. I <3 Adele. She's quite awesome.

Weather

The weather is weird. First, it's super hot, then it's all dark, looking like it's going to rain... now, it looks like it's sunny again, but not as warm as it was. Interesting...

So, I did a 5K on Belle Isle today. My legs hurt, but I feel pretty good. I ran/walked it in 43 minutes, and I said I could do it in under 45 minutes, so I suppose that's good. I will try for a slightly shorter time for the next run, which I think will be next Saturday for the MS walk/run. I'm pretty sure Pollyanna is doing that run as well, so I'll have a friend. Yay.

And now, I am just relaxing. I've got laundry going, Jeff just ran out for some hot dogs, and we are looking forward to a nice evening at Kim's house for a James Bond movie viewing. Hooray!

I feel like taking a nap. But I won't. I have stuff to do. Meh.

In fact, here's a list of things to do:
- Pay for things on eBay
- Purchase stuff on Mary Kay
- Register for MS Walk/Run
- Plan for middle school and 3rd grade
- Finish laundry
- Empty and refill dishwasher

I think that's about it... I may think of other things to do... Hmmm...
