There are feelings you have carried for years that you have never found the words for.
Unspoken Words is a collection of poetry written for the emotions that live in the quiet, the grief that has no name, the love that was never returned, the apology that never came, the version of you that got lost somewhere along the way.
Dr. Gowher Yusuf writes from the intersection of clinical understanding and lived experience. As a medical professional who has spent years witnessing the weight people carry in silence, she knows that the heaviest things we feel are often the ones we never say out loud.
This is not a book about recovery. It is a book about recognition the relief of finally seeing yourself on a page and knowing you are not alone in what you feel.
For the woman who is always fine. For the one who gives everything and asks for nothing. For every feeling that has been sitting in your chest, waiting for someone to put it into words.
Unspoken Words is that someone.

A must read for every tired mind and soul
Reviewed in India on 1 June 2026I liked how this poem compared the mind to a forest. It painted a clear picture of how negative thoughts can grow and become difficult to escape from. The imagery was strong and the poem made me think about the challenges people face in their minds.
Overall, I found it meaningful and enjoyable to read.

Your heart keeps an echo deep inside…
Reviewed in India on 29 May 2026This poem, "An Echo", felt deeply personal. The line about carrying heaps of unspoken words quietly stayed with me. Simple words, yet they carry so much emotion. It felt less like reading poetry and more like someone understanding emotions we often hide.

The poems felt very real
Reviewed in India on 25 May 2026What I loved most about “Unspoken Words” is how natural and personal the writing feels. The poems don’t feel distant…they feel like real emotions someone finally decided to say out loud.
Some lines hit unexpectedly because they describe feelings many people carry quietly but rarely talk about. I especially connected with the poems about emotional exhaustion, love left unsaid, and trying to stay strong all the time.
