GAMES AND ACTIVITIES TO HELP KIDS USE THEIR WORDS

FINISH THE SENTENCE

Create part of a sentence, leaving a space for one of the picture cards. Read it aloud and have the child fill in the blank with an appropriate picture. Then, have the child read the sentence.

GRAB A SENTENCE

Place all of the words faceup. Choose words to create a sentence. Be sure to start each sentence with a capitalized word and end it with a punctuation card.

TEAM BUILDING

Turn all of the cards facedown. Players take turns picking up word cards until all are chosen. The first player lays out a card that starts with a capital letter. The second player adds a word. Continue until a sentence has been made. End it with a punctuation card.
