Solid choice for an affordable tripod
Reviewed in the United States on May 18, 2022I've had this selfie tripod for almost 4 weeks now and am very pleasantly surprised by it! For some background context, I am *extremely* careful with my phone, so the fact that I trusted this tripod means a lot.
Given the price, I was expecting a much flimsier/lighter feeling tripod, but this is a solid, very stable, nicely balanced tripod. I like the weight of it (it's not heavy); it collapses down to a size that even fits in my carry-on bag, and it is quite tall when fully extended. The phone clip fit my Samsung S10e perfectly and felt very secure, I don't think this clip will ever lose its spring tension. I trusted the phone clip and tripod enough to hold my phone over the water (see video). The tripod is very easy to set up/use and unlikely to tip over in a breeze (A strong gust might be a different story.) It worked beautifully for large group shots and was extremely steady while I was photographing the lunar eclipse (there was a bit of a breeze that night but it didn't affect the tripod).
I haven't tried the additional attachment piece for cameras and the remote yet but was pleased to find they included a battery.
Two things I would like to see improved:
1) this is very much designed as a *selfie* tripod, meaning they expect you to use your front camera. It worked great for those photos. For photos using your rear-facing camera, you have to be aware of how your orient your phone so that the clip isn't in your photo (example attached).
2) I am keenly aware when things aren't level or straight; there was the ever slightest tilt forward (toward you) in the phone when clipped. I tried to correct it by adjusting the knobs, but didn't quite get it right. This might not be noticeable to most people but it is to me. I would hope to see some sort of bubble level to help users level their tripod.
Overall, you'll definitely get your money's worth and I highly recommend this tripod.

Helpful for everyday videos and photos
Reviewed in the United States on May 16, 2026I originally picked this tripod up for casual video recording at home, but it ended up becoming useful for many more situations than I expected. I have used it for recipe videos in the kitchen, quick work calls, and even outdoor photos during family walks. The setup process felt straightforward from the beginning, so I did not waste time figuring out complicated adjustments before filming.
The height range worked especially well for different spaces around the house. I could shorten it for tabletop projects or extend it when recording standing videos without balancing my phone on random furniture anymore. The stand felt sturdy even when fully extended, which gave me more confidence while filming longer clips. I also liked that the phone holder kept my device secure without feeling too tight or difficult to adjust.
One feature I ended up appreciating more than expected was the smooth rotating function. Being able to capture different angles without moving the entire setup saved time and made recordings look more natural. I tested it during a small live streaming session, and the movement stayed steady instead of jerky. The handle was comfortable to hold while making adjustments, which made the whole process feel less awkward.
After several weeks of use, I can say this tripod fits nicely into everyday routines without feeling like professional equipment that is difficult to manage. It packs away easily, carries comfortably, and adapts well to different recording situations. Whether I am taking family photos, filming quick tutorials, or setting up for video chats, it has been a reliable and convenient tool to keep nearby.

One of my Best Ever Purchases
Reviewed in the United States on October 26, 2025I bought this tripod (67" version) about two years ago, and it still is one of my best purchases ever. I paid $16.12+tax.
I have brought it with me solo but more often use it for group pictures, whether it's a friend visiting for the weekend or a holiday tradition. As someone who tends to take pictures but not be in many, this has been a great way to capture memories that include me in the frame! It works with the various camera options on my android, including photo, video, dual, night, and pro.
As a nice bonus, this is a great option for pictures you want to take but can't necessarily hold your phone or camera still enough to get! I've used it for nighttime pictures and for pictures that I can line up but then will mess up by moving the phone to press to take the picture. It works so well for this that I might get some as gifts for family members with movement disorders (like Parkinson's).
If you have little ones in your life, this is a fantastic item to have. It makes getting group pictures, event pictures, and more so easy. My niblings love it and have started wanting to use it themselves. The toddler likes to take pictures and review them right there, but sometimes it becomes tough to keep to the concept of we're all in the pictures then! An older child always wants to use it for events but also just having fun with friends. The only caution is that it is easy to pinch fingers/hands, so I always remind them of that (usually after doing it to myself, because I am forgetful). It doesn't bother me, but for children the surprise of it could cause some emotions, especially on big days.
I don't take it out often (just no need), but I throw it in my bag if I'm going somewhere for a bit or to something that might be nice to capture. "Throw" is literal there for some of the time, and it's bounced around in the back of my car or in luggage plenty. I've also used it in a variety of climates (sub-0°F, 90s°F, dry, high humidity) and on a variety of surfaces (standard housing & school flooring (US - New England), shells, gravel, hay, tarmac, grass, garden/soft soil, cobblestones, sand). I'm impressed with how it has stood up, as a sub-$20 tripod was something I got in hopes it would work for my immediate purpose and not a lot of expectation!
Note: cobblestones in rain and wind was the only time it was tough to use without an easy adaptation springing to mind for me. In looser sand with wind, I bury the bottom a little bit to make it stay in place. It's not anything you need to dig for: I just used my feet to move a little sand quickly. I didn't try to use it in extreme wind situations, because it's a light and cheap-for-what-it-is item, not a miraculous device.
It's *light,* so whether or not it comes with me depends more on me thinking to bring it than having to debate if it's worth bringing. While it's *fairly compact,* especially if you are intentional with how you store the top part, it still is long enough that I need to finagle it with some bags. I usually end up putting it a backpack that I use a lot, and it fits inside the big pouch (put it in first/early) but more often gets packed so the top is sticking out of that pouch or of one of the zip bottle compartments. It fits in larger totes fine, sometimes even getting lost depending on what else is in there (usually jackets)!
It's easy to clean, other than a few obvious places like dials. However, those are on the top part and haven't gotten dirty that I can think of. Most of what I've needed to clean was mud or dirt from the bottom, and that hasn't even required elbow grease.
The only things I use with it that broke are the rubber bands I use to keep it together (not really needed but habit) and, more importantly, the remote with it. I use rubber bands attached to the remote, because then the person using it can loop it on their wrist. I need to come up with a system on something like that, otherwise I'll lose it.
It's super simple to put together, adjust, and move around with as needed. I played with it when I first got it, figured out about what made sense that I'd need, and now can usually take it out and move with it and put it away quickly, even on the move. I never remember what all the top dials do, but it's so easy to turn the dial and see that that's no big deal. I will say that some of those dials are more useful to me than others, but I like having options depending on what I'm doing and how my brain is working. Some of those dials don't hold as well as ideal, but I've never had an issue just adjusting a little. Given how much an ideal tripod would cost, I don't mind that!
I don't suggest using the levels if you need great accuracy, but I don't think that's a common need for this item. They work well for what they are, but even if they worked perfectly, being level doesn't necessarily mean the picture will look level! I adjust to what I want the picture to be, personally.
The lock for the tripod legs works very well. That would be the worst to have issues with, I think, both carrying and using it, so that's good. Sometimes it's a bit tough to get to move, especially for a child, but I would rather that than have it be loose.
The locks for the telescoping column (not sure of the right term) work well overall. If I'm not thinking and start on the top instead of the bottom, it is less stable, but that makes sense. I like that it is just a flip yet stays in place wherever I (or a little one, who likes it at their own height) pick, then is SO quick to make small on the move.
I generally find that things meant to hold phones in a grip like this don't maintain that grip for long, even being very careful. Well, for whatever reason, not being as careful with this one, this one has not had that issue for me.
Being light, you do have to use logic with how you put your phone or camera into the grip and what position you're putting it into, primarily looking at weight and balance. If you are trying to put your phone in the grip on one end, it's going to be too lopsided to hold up if you are also picking settings that put it to one side or another. This comes up more with children but is worth remembering if you run into an issue with it.
The Bluetooth buttons are good now, but I did have trouble setting it up initially. I'm not sure why it works now without me doing anything (knock on wood), especially given that it's still on the same battery. I couldn't get it to pair to another phone recently, but I only tried briefly. That certainly could have been user error. Also, for a while, the iPhone button worked instead of the android on my android phone. Now I think either works. I do try to always test it when I'm setting up my phone in it, because in the beginning it wasn't always reliable. Plus, I've gotten messed up with videos before, thinking I was starting when stopping and vice versa. There's also a delay between clicking the button and the photo being taken or video starting/stopping - to be expected, but worth remembering. I had times early on where it didn't seem to be working and then suddenly all went through. Again, those issues seem to be gone now, for whatever reason. For photos, I normally just click it a bunch of times and figure at least one will be decent.
I think it came with a bag, but I had forgotten about it if so until seeing the "carry bag" prompt for the review. If it did, it was tight and a pain, because I certainly don't have that with it anymore. That might have been a bag for some camera accessories, though. Regardless, I haven't used a bag for it and think doing so would just slow down how easy it is to maneuver for me.
I just used it today, moving it around, changing setup, tossing in a stroller (in all sorts of partial setup and angles), going on lots of uneven ground and different surfaces and more around an area outside that is definitely not somewhere I'd bring a nice tripod. I thought to write this review due to someone asking about it, and I was looking to see if I might get them one as a gift. (I have frequently had people ask me where I got it when they see me using it, especially at children's activities. People never expect the answer or price point. This is good if you like talking to random people, I guess.)
It looks like they don't have the one I bought in stock but have a taller one for a little more. I am going to compare to see how the folded length lines up and what differences there might be.
In summary:
Many, many, many pros
Cons:
- Bluetooth setup in beginning was a pain and inconsistent (but no issues in a long time with same device, uncertain if issues pairing a new device were user error as only tried briefly) and need to remember there's a delay between clicking the remote and the picture or video going (which makes sense)
- need something to ensure don't lose remote (my solution is rubber bands - cheap, easy, versatile)
- a little long for some carrying options
- dials have lots of options and sometimes require taking care balancing (but easy to do)
- can pinch fingers or hands in putting it away if you're not careful, really only issue for children
None of the cons are a big deal or something that could not be fixed easily and quickly. Some of them probably are better done by the user so it is our preference. Bluetooth connection early on is the biggest negative, I'd say.

No need to ask someone to take your group photo
Reviewed in the United States on May 1, 2025I ordered this for my niece, as we’re always getting together at her house and end up taking group photos. She finally used it about a month ago and absolutely loved it. No longer are we trying to balance the phone up against a cup, rock, etc., hitting the timer button, and then running back to the group to get a photo. It gripped her phone nicely, and the tripod was very stable. It’s light weight and legs slide inside itself for compact storage. The head of the tripod allows for flexibility and rotation of the phone so that you can capture the perfect photo. The part that she absolutely loved was the remote shutter button (Bluetooth activated). She stood in the group with us, told us to smile and hit the remote button to capture the photos. Her excitement about the remote had everyone asking about the tripod set up. For the price, this is an excellent tripod to have for those situations that there is no one available to capture the photo.

Make sure your phone isn't too heavy! Not good for top-down product photography.
Reviewed in the United States on March 4, 2023Pros:
- Nice variation in height! Not so good for things needed 6 inches tall, but it ranges from around a foot to 4-5 feet.
- Includes a bluetooth remote compatible with ios and android so you can take pictures remotely
- There's a water bubble ruler so you can tell if your phone is arranged perfectly straight.
Cons (And the reason why I returned it) :
- There's not much you can do if you want to angle your phone above the subject you want to photograph, like if you're doing product photography. It only allows you to tilt the phone forwards or backwards.
- If your phone is too heavy it's not sturdy enough to hold it in the position you set it at. I used a Galaxy S23 Ultra which weighed 9.6 oz (272 grams) and the arm would droop all the way unless the phone was set fully upright. Not so good if you want your phone to be angled at a way it's facing downwards.
In all fairness my phone came out *after* this was made, but I'm making this review to warn others with heavier phones like mine.
