My Fellow American: A Christian Billionaire Romance
An Interracial Billionaire Romance
Hudson Blue was raised with a silver spoon in his mouth; he got everything he ever wanted, except the woman he loved. After falling hard for a housemaid, Hudson learned his father was willing to do anything to uphold the reputation of Blue Barn inc., even force his son to let go of true love.
Years later, Hudson meets Jonah King, a fiery woman who sets off sparks in his once cold heart. But Jonah doesn’t meet his father’s standards. He doesn’t like her family, her job, or even her appearance, but Hudson is willing to risk it. Except … Jonah is not.
There is nothing more that Jonah King hates than elitist men like Hudson Blue. She might not have the same money or background as the billionaire prince, but she does have a relationship with God and He says He loves her just the way she is. The world would meet its end before Jonah settled for a prideful man like Hudson Blue, but when God tells her to give him a chance, Jonah realizes Hudson may not be the only one who judges by looks rather than heart.
My Fellow American is a romance that takes a close look at all the ugly things interracial couples face. Their differences are put on full display and picked apart by the world around them, but when their love is rooted in God, we can see and witness the joy they share. If you enjoy gritty, emotional stories, this is certainly for you.

About the author

Hi there! I am a Christian author who writes fictional stories that reflect the body of Christ and the Bible. I love my dog Sesame, who is a small tricolor beagle that loves peas! On our days off, we like to travel, visit new restaurants, find exciting dog treat recipes, or go on an adventure. But when we’re not enjoying our free time outside of our cozy home, I am typing away on the next best Christian novel, while Sesame snoozes somewhere nearby, dreaming of our next adventure.
As of now, I don’t have one particular genre I write in. God gives me ideas that span a wide spectrum and isn’t limited too one particular genre. I am grateful to Him, for blessing me with colorful stories that bring Him glory and honor. I hope that all my readers enjoy these tales as much as I love writing them.
Please feel free to keep up with me and the stories I’m working on via social media. You can find me @ awritingbean on Instagram and Twitter. For questions or concerns please email awritingbean@gmail.com.

Such a blessing
Reviewed in the United States on June 30, 2025I came across this book via a post on instagram and immediately went to Amazon to take a look at it. I did more than just look though, I borrowed and started reading soon after. I’m so very happy to have come across this book. Reading it was such a blessing, it tackles hard problems but at the same time gives the reader hope. Throughout there were scripture passages which fit in beautifully and was very relatable. God is indeed a God of second chances and this book brings that point home beautifully!!! Thank you A. Bean for a wonderful book.

This was a captivating read.
Reviewed in the United States on April 23, 2025I did not expect Hudson to start off that way. However, seeing the way he grew warmed my heart. Jonah was a copy of most of us—she was hesitant to do the right thing at first, but it didn’t stop her. I really love her as a character. The author did a really great job with the message. I love the redemption each character experienced in the end, and I love how forgiving Jonah was. A really great representation of Jesus :)

SO GOOD!!!
Reviewed in the United States on May 17, 2025I really did love this book. Jonah and Hudson have my heart forever this was such a beautiful story to be told. What I loved most was the realness in their struggle with faith, especially as Christians. One of the most important things we’re called to do is forgive, and this book reminded me just how powerful that is. You never know what breakthrough is waiting on the other side of forgiveness. It was so, so good!!!

Surprisingly, a Hard Pass
Reviewed in the United States on April 26, 2026I’m not sure who recommended this book to me. Or how and why. Maybe I latched on because of the Christian billionaire aspect having enjoyed Love is Kind and Can’t Get Enough. I don’t really even know what to say besides “No.”
I think I just may be too Christian and too much of a self-respecting Black woman to think anything about this storyline would be plausible in my world because HOW, SWAY? and FIX IT, JESUS!
The only reason this isn’t one star is because it IS NOT poorly written (even though there were several editing errors).
