My grandson who was 3 years old wore his all day and it didn't break, so it may just be a quality control issue with some of them? Not sure.

      Gave them to a group of very elderly ladies in a nursing home, one each, and it was adorable and festive. I turned the necklace lights on first, of course (which was quite easy to do) before placing on the ladies. I didn't stay for very long, so I cannot talk to bulb life. But, it was a fun treat. u
