I am happy to announce the launch of the PinkCat Podcast. A podcast where myself, bjorkboobah and Visp will be discussing the political, societal and problematic aspects of both Japanese Pinku and Hong Kong Category III films, and how they appeal to us as seasoned and contemporary explorers of exploitation cinema. A sweet lil 90s queer dramedy. Has the exact alt music and tone and minor cringe comedy you would expect. But it has some great Indian-American representation, a unique surrogate pregnancy storyline, and some legitimate funny moments. I ran when I heard this movie had a 0% on Rotten Tomatoes. Ice Cube? HG Wells? Screenlife Found-Footage? Amazon production?
The person who edited this may or may not be one of the aliens featured in the film. Ice Cube pretty much plays himself which makes this whole things feel really surreal and fake. The special FX are genuinely straight out of an Asylum film. THERE IS A FUCKING AD FOR AMAZON DRONE DELIVERY SERVICE, AND THE DRONE FLYER HAS TO DODGE AROUND LASER BLASTS. ICE CUBE HITS A "THAT WAS EASY" BUTTON AFTER HE TRACKS DOWN A HACKER'S ADDRESS!
