We Clean Up After Ourselves
Ecommerce deliveries have a carbon footprint. That's why IEEBEE supports cutting-edge companies that remove carbon from the air — for every order we ship.
Every order placed on ieebee.com generates shipping emissions. We don't ignore that. Instead, we calculate the carbon footprint of every shipment and direct a portion of our revenue to vetted carbon removal companies — so that every IEEBEE order is carbon-neutral by the time it reaches your door.
How It Works
For every order we receive, a formula is used to calculate the estimated shipping emissions. Based on those estimates, a portion of our revenue goes directly to carbon removal companies that have been independently vetted by scientists from Carbon Direct.
The process — step by step
You place an order on ieebee.com. The shipping distance, package weight and carrier are used to calculate the estimated carbon emissions for that specific delivery.
A portion of our revenue — calculated against those emissions — is directed to carbon removal companies vetted by scientists at Carbon Direct.
Those companies use the funds to remove however much carbon our shipments created — using technologies ranging from direct air capture to underground storage.
Any extra funds go toward the further development of carbon removal technologies — supporting the long-term science, not just today's offset.
The Companies Removing Our Emissions
We work with a portfolio of carbon removal companies — each using a different scientifically validated approach to pulling CO₂ out of the atmosphere and storing it permanently. Here's a look at some of the companies our contributions support.
Heirloom
Heirloom's direct air capture technology enhances the carbon mineralization process — speeding up the rate at which naturally occurring minerals absorb CO₂ from the atmosphere. Unlike energy-intensive fan-based systems, Heirloom's approach works with natural processes, making it both efficient and scalable. The captured carbon is then locked away in solid mineral form for thousands of years.
Remora
Remora takes a different approach — capturing CO₂ directly from semi-truck tailpipes as they drive. Rather than waiting to remove carbon from the open air, Remora intercepts emissions at the source, capturing up to 80% of a truck's CO₂ output on every journey. The captured CO₂ is then destined for long-term storage, permanently removing it from the atmosphere.
Charm
Charm captures CO₂ using plant waste — agricultural residue and other biomass that would otherwise decompose and release carbon back into the air. Charm converts this plant material into a stable, carbon-rich liquid and safely stores it deep underground, out of reach of wildfires and soil erosion. The result is durable, verifiable carbon removal with a minimal land footprint.
Our Broader Commitment

Why this matters to us
IEEBEE ships from California to customers across the United States and internationally. Every shipment has a carbon cost — and we believe it's our responsibility to account for that cost, not pass it on or ignore it.
Carbon-neutral shipping isn't a marketing feature. It's a baseline commitment — something we do for every order, regardless of size, because we believe it's the right thing to do as a business that ships physical products into the world.
We're also aware that carbon removal is still a developing field. That's why we specifically support companies working on durable, science-backed removal — not just offsetting credits — and why a portion of our contributions funds the ongoing development of that technology.
What We Make — and Why It Matters
Beyond shipping emissions, the materials we use are part of our sustainability thinking. Here's what goes into every IEEBEE washi tape set:
Traditional Japanese Washi Paper
Washi is made from natural plant fibres — traditionally kozo (mulberry), gampi or mitsumata. It is biodegradable, lightweight and produced using centuries-old craft methods. As a base material, washi has a significantly lower environmental impact than synthetic tape alternatives.
Child-Safe, Tested Materials
All IEEBEE washi tapes are manufactured without phthalates and lead. This isn't just a safety standard — it's also an environmental one. Products free of harmful additives are safer throughout their entire lifecycle, from production to disposal.
Reusable Gift Packaging
IEEBEE sets are packaged in premium gift rope boxes and drawer boxes designed to be kept and reused — as storage, as display, as part of the creative experience. Packaging that gets used again is packaging that doesn't become waste.
Join Us — Together, We Are Stronger
