Dajidae (лат.) — семейство мелких морских равноногих ракообразных из подотряда Cymothoida (Cryptoniscoidea, Epicaridea, Isopoda)^[2]. Известно более 60 видов. Паразиты мелких ракообразных.

Описание

Представители этого семейства являются эктопаразитами криля. Они напоминают мясистый нарост на спине криля и создают впечатление, будто хозяин носит рюкзак^[3].

Dajidae встречаются во всех океанах, а взрослые самки являются эктопаразитами ракообразных из отрядов эвфаузид, мизид, а также креветок Penaeoidea и Caridea. Они прикрепляются к панцирю, брюшку или груди своих хозяев^[4].

Систематика

Известно более 60 видов и около 20 родов^[6]^[2]^[7]. Авторство первого описания приписывают норвежскому зоологу Сарсу^[8] (иногда указывают Жиара и Боннье; 1887 год^[9]). Dajidae включают в надсемейство Cryptoniscoidea. Считается, что Dajidae являются сестринским таксоном по отношению к Bopyridae или, возможно, произошли от Bopyroidea, в которое их ранее включали^[4]^[10]^[11].

Распространение

Встречаются повсеместно во всех океанах. В том числе, семейство Dajidae демонстрирует высокое разнообразие в Антарктике (7 видов), а в Арктике и северо-восточной части Атлантического океана вместе взятых насчитывается 14 видов^[18].
