Periparus je rod ptica iz porodice senica. Ptice iz ovog roda su prethodno uključivane u rod Parus, ali su prebačene u rod Periparus nakon što je rod Parus podeljen na veći broj rodova 2005. sledeći objavljivanje detaljne analize molekularne filogenije.^[1]^[2] Ime Periparus je uveo za podrod roda Parus belgijski prirodnjak Mišel Edmond de Seli-Longšan 1884.^[3] Periparus, je kovanica starogrčke reči peri i imena roda Parus.^[4]

Sve vrste naseljavaju Aziju, a jelova senica takođe naseljava veliki deo Evrope i severne Afrike. Sve vrste imaju bele obraze.
