Atari X Oasiz is live. We’re excited to bring Breakout to Oasiz as the first game in our collaboration with Atari. Breakout is one of the most recognizable and iconic classic arcade games ever made. On Oasiz, we wanted to preserve that classic arcade feeling while making it social from the start. “Oasiz uses modern social tools to capture one of the most classic gaming experiences: the social interaction of an arcade, making this take on Breakout a great fit for the platform,” said Wade Rosen, Chairman and CEO of Atari. This version is built for jump-in multiplayer: two players share the same playfield, race to clear their color, use power-ups and debuffs, climb leaderboards, and play inside a platform designed around friends, chat, and community-driven play. I love how the game quietly turns into a nod to Pong mid-match where you have to make sure the opponents ball doesn't cross your side. Oasiz is built around the belief that software is one of the greatest creative mediums. For us, that means constantly exploring new ways to build, play, foster social interaction, and create fresh creative twists on the games people already love. That’s why we’re so excited to work with Atari starting with Breakout and continuing with more experiences ahead. Play Breakout on Oasiz here: https://lnkd.in/gRBNSWgK . . . . Oasiz is an independent licensee of Atari Interactive, Inc. Atari and the Atari logo are registered trademarks of Atari Interactive, Inc. All rights reserved.

Look for some of Atari's best-known arcade games starting today in Resolution Games' Retrocade app on Apple Arcade!
Dear ‘Retro’ Games, You’ve been with us for as long as we can remember. And we owe you. Big time. You were there for the long nights, glowing screens, worn buttons, and that unmistakable feeling of just one more try. And the quarters… So. Many. Quarters. There’s a purity in classics like Galaga, Centipede, Frogger, Pac-Man, Asteroids and others. They didn’t need spectacle to be unforgettable. And decades later, they still inspire developers, still challenge players, and still spark joy. As a thank you, we at Resolution Games have created a love letter to the classics, to the industry, and to everyone who has ever felt that spark when you drop a quarter into the machine and a game simply clicks, which we launched today, called Retrocade. Now available in one app on Apple Arcade, you can play 10 iconic arcade games from the 80’s - ASTEROIDS®, BREAKOUT®, BUBBLE BOBBLE™, CENTIPEDE®, FROGGER, GALAGA™, HAUNTED CASTLE, PAC-MAN™, SPACE INVADERS™, and TRACK & FIELD. (Play here: https://apple.co/Retrocade) Retro games are having a real moment again, and I couldn’t be happier. Not just because they’re fun), but because they remind us of what made games magical in the first place: simple rules, tight controls, and gameplay so good it pulls you back in without ever asking too much. But Retrocade isn’t only about playing old games again. It’s about something we’ve never fully been able to recreate before. Until now, games have mostly lived as software—code and pixels separated from their physical soul. With Retrocade, we can finally celebrate the whole experience: the art, the cabinets, the atmosphere, the environments that once surrounded these games and made them feel alive. You don’t just play them—you visit them. We love games. Always have. Always will. See you in the arcade, Tommy Palm CEO, Resolution Games
