  • We recently had a chat with Marco Boschi, Application Manager in Mems Group, Castelletto (Cornaredo, Milano), who has been sharing his time, skills, and passion as an ST Foundation volunteer since 2020. Recently, he has also taken on the role of volunteers’ coordinator in Castelletto. From coding workshops for children to supporting diverse communities, he proves that knowledge grows when it’s shared — and that giving freely brings back growth, gratitude, and human connection. 💡🌍 Find out more: http://spkl.io/604078Stk STMicroelectronics Foundation #STFoundation #Volunteering

  • Our STARs are brilliant!⭐ The ST Annual Recognition (STAR) award ceremony is always a day of joy and pride in the all the brilliant ideas and brilliant people we have in our company! On June 4 in ST Geneva, we recognized employee contributions to the company’s success through large company-wide projects, team projects, patent submissions, high-potential inventions, and conference papers. Nine Gold STAR winning teams competed for the prestigious CEO Award. This year our CEO Jean-Marc Chery and the executive committee presented one CEO Award plus a Special CEO Award. The winners were respectively our STM32V8 flagship high-performance MCU in P18 technology and our market-leading new 12V and 48V automotive power distribution architectures. ‘’It is my great pleasure to meet and reward the architects of the present. This day is one of the highlights of my duties as a CEO and I am deeply impressed by everyone I meet and everything I see. This year, I am also very glad that some up-and-coming talents of under 30 years of age joined us as special guests. They, and our generation of ‘’Blossomers’’ will be the architects of ST’s future and we encourage them to carry forward the passion for innovation that has always characterized our company,’’ said our President and CEO Jean-Marc Chery in his opening speech. Company Strategic Awards honor extensive programs that span multiple organizational and functional areas and significantly improve company performance. This year’s Gold Award winner was the front-end manufacturing team in our Crolles 300 wafer fab, which ramped up an innovative 3D technology for a key customer in record time. Every day, in many ways, ST’s brilliant people put brilliant ideas into action. Congratulations to this year’s winners! #WeAreST

  • The MASTERGAN6 and MASTERGAN7 are the first ST GaN power devices to include LDOs, rather than relying on external ones. They are also the first to offer a hard-switching topology capable of tolerating negative voltages as low as -6 V in hard-switching topologies, making the new series more integrated and more robust. 🔍 Learn more on the #STBlog: http://spkl.io/604278YnC

What if a sensor could fit inside a sticker and capture every shot? 🏏In #cricket, every gram matters. So when the Indian startup str8bat imagined a sticker that could capture every shot with pro-grade precision, they knew they were tackling more than a technical challenge. That’s where ST stepped in, bringing not only deep technical expertise, but also the support needed to help bring str8bat’s vision to life. By providing a sensor tailored to fit a 1.5 mm-thick form factor, ST helped turn a concept once thought impossible into reality. Today, cricket enthusiasts and IPL professional leagues can rely on the most compact cricket bat sensor on the market. And this is only the beginning. With hundreds of millions of players worldwide, this innovation has the potential to go far beyond cricket, opening the door to new possibilities in baseball, and beyond. Get inspired. 📢 Today, Quobly announces a €115 million Series A to accelerate the industrialization of our silicon-based quantum computers and bring our first commercial product to market by the end of 2026. This financing marks an important step in our roadmap as we move from technology validation to industrial execution.   Over the past two years, during our seed phase, we have: ✅ demonstrated the feasibility of manufacturing silicon qubits using semiconductor industry processes, ✅ built a full-stack architecture combining hardware, control electronics and software, ✅ grown to more than 100 collaborators across France, Canada and Singapore, ✅ prepared the deployment of our first commercial quantum computer.   From the beginning, our approach has been guided by a clear objective: making quantum computing compatible with existing computing infrastructures and scalable to the millions of qubits required for meaningful applications.   To achieve this, we chose to build quantum computing on semiconductor industry standards, leveraging decades of manufacturing expertise, infrastructure and industrial know-how already proven at scale.   With this Series A, we will: ➡️ strengthen the performance and scalability of our quantum computers, ➡️ accelerate the industrialization of our silicon quantum processors, ➡️ deploy our first Alloy systems in cloud and HPC environments.   We are proud to be supported by an ecosystem bringing together industrial, sovereign and deeptech partners. The round is led by Bpifrance, STMicroelectronics and SEALSQ, with participation from the EIC - European Innovation Council), ALIAD (Air Liquide Venture Capital), Blast Club and INNOVACOM. We are also grateful for the continued support of our existing shareholders, including CEA, CNRS, Quantonation and Supernova Invest.   Our first commercial quantum computer, Alloy Pioneer, the first product in the Alloy line, will be accessible through the cloud in 2026.   A special thank you to the teams whose work over the past years has made this milestone possible.   Read our press release: https://lnkd.in/df3GwaHx
