The big Switch

Joe Pendleton (Warren Beatty) is a backup quarterback for the American football team Los Angeles Rams .He is involved in a terrible collision with a truck. An over-anxious guardian angel (Buck Henry) on his first assignment plucks Joe out of his body early in the mistaken belief that his death is imminent, and Pendleton arrives in the afterlife. He is granted a new life in a different body (the other was cremated), and he picks millionaire industrialist Leo Farnsworth and we have the big switch. Yeah, a long explanation for a bad film, sorry.
Remake of "Here comes Mr. Jordan" 1943:

Don't remember this one too well, but I believe Dr. Jack Hammond (Dudley Moore) and Chris Hammond (Kirk Cameron) drink a potion and the big switch happens. Lots of humor Dudley style ... probably laughed back then, don't remember. Gave it 2 stars for the lack of memory.

After being humiliated and told he is too short for a carnival ride while attempting to impress an older girl (Kimberlee M. Davis), 13-year-old Josh Baskin (David Moscow) goes to a fortune-telling machine called Zoltar Speaks, and wishes that he was "big and we have the "big switch". The next morning ... surprise ... he discovers that he has been transformed into a 30-year-old man (Tom Hanks). Not a bad comedy, besides the 13 year old gets the girl.

Marshall Seymour (Judge Reinhold) is a Vice President of a Chicago department store in charge of buying. He returns from a trip to the South China Seas and finds he has accidentally acquired a strange ornamental skull. Marshall is divorced, and takes in his son Charlie (Fred Savage) for a few days while his Mom is vacationing. Tensions run high in this family since Charlie can't understand why his father can't be more involved in his life. They get into an argument about how they wish they could be in each others bodies. This is where the skull comes in and its the big switch.

An 18-year-old Alexia (Katherine Heigl), a snobby, looks-obsessed teenager who frequently fights with Hayley (Danielle Harris), her unpopular sister. They’re so different and yet they envy each other, wishing to have the others life; the big switch.

Didn't see this one, so here's a plot I got from Wikipedia. Brett (Guy Pearce), a friend of the host from Melbourne, has just landed a job as presenter of a TV gossip show. He is brash and self-confident. Tash (Claudia Karvan) is a science journalist for a national newspaper, studious, intense and self-conscious. They have nothing in common, so naturally they get it together.

That night is a full moon and fate decides to lend a hand. They wake to find that each is in the other's body.

Rita Boyle (Meg Ryan), falls in love with and marries Peter Hoskins (Alec Baldwin). At their wedding, the couple is approached by Julius (Sydney Walker), a lonely, elderly man who requests permission to kiss the bride. They agree, and wallah, the big switch. While it is a different take on the story, I didn't think much of it.

Technically, this is not a body switch movie, but its close enough. After finally capturing known terrorist Castor Troy (Nicolas Cage), FBI agent Sean Archer (John Travolta) discovers some super-serious terrorist plans that only Troy himself can stop. Archer decides that the only possible solution is to surgically trade faces with Troy and infiltrate the terrorist organization, thus the big switch.

A Craig Schwartz (John Cusack) lands a job on the seventh and a half floor of a New York office where the ceiling is neck-bendingly low. Schwartz then discovers a tiny door in his office that leads into, yes, John Malkovich’s head. From there Schwartz becomes obsessed with being inside the actor’s mind for 15-minute intervals and eventually shows others the mind-transferring portal and so you have a multiple big switch.

An aspiring black comic (Chris Rock) is killed and is transfered, not going to get into they why, to the body of a dieing wealthy whiteand very un-liked, businessman Charles Wellington III (Brian Rhodes). We have the big switch and a pretty funny movie.

Remake of "Heaven can Wait"

A semi-funny Rob Schneider film. A selfish high-school cheerleader Jessica (Rachel McAdams) steals a pair of magical earrings from a New Age store. She drops one at a gas station and a petty criminal (Schneider) finds it, the two separately put the paranormal earrings on and wallah the big switch.

Didn't we see this already ... say in 1996. The rebellious, rocker daughter (Lindsay Lohan) and her flustered, mother (Jamie Lee Curtis), about to get married, never see eye-to-eye ... doh! After consuming fortune cookies, the following morning brings the big switch. The rest is a cookie-cutter comedy event.

Ok, didn't know this before I started researching for this list, but this was a remake from a 1976 film of the same name starring Jodie Foster and Barbara Harris.

1987 teenager Jenna (Christa B. Allen) wishes to leave her adolescence behind and shoot into the adult existence. However, Jenna is caught off-guard when her wish actually comes true and she wakes up in 2004 as a successful, 30-year-old magazine editor (Jennifer Garner). Quickly the teen finds adulthood something she didn't bargain for, and there's the big switch.

The best of the "Big Switch"es, a young hospital aide Caroline (Kate Hudson) takes a job in Louisiana as a private hospice worker for a recent stroke victim and his wife. Caroline discovers the mansion’s dark voodoo past: two black servants from the 1920s were lynched after the house’s owners discovered they were practicing magic. There is a big switch here, but this movie is worth watching if you haven't, so no spoilers from me.

There is a sequel, but I've not seen it.

Let me first say: Yes, cartoons count when they are movies. A bad spell and Donkey (voiced by Eddie Murphy) and the cavalier Puss in Boots (voiced by Antonio Banderas) make the big switch. It’s simple and funny.”
