Jet Set Radio is a singleplayer action game developed by Smilebit and published by Sega.

Originally released on Dreamcast in 2000, Jet Set Radio was ported to Windows by BlitWorks and released on Steam on September 19, 2012.[1]

On November 6, 2024, it was announced that Jet Set Radio would be delisted from Steam on December 6, 2024.[2] The game was delisted three days later than the announced date on December 9, 2024.[3]

The PC port of Jet Set Radio is missing the songs "Yappie Feet" by Deavid Soul and "Many Styles" by O.B. One from the NTSC and PAL Dreamcast versions.[4] There are music mods that restore those and make adjustments according to this release's critiques.

Issues unresolved

The launcher is unreadable at 1336x768 and lower resolutions.
The launcher is unreadable at 1336x768 and lower resolutions.
The updated launcher was made for 1920x1080. Lower resolutions, such as 1336x768, causes text to overflow and become unreadable.
Revert to the original launcher[8]

Notes

Key remapping is limited in the original launcher.
Use JSRHDNewSetup[9]

Notes

Doesn't have support for keybind remapping.
Set Windows text scaling to 100%[10]

Random crashes

Most of the crashes occur in the following cases: Shibuya GG ending, Love Trap ending, and Grind Square ending.
There have been crashes during cutscenes and level transitions in Chapter 3.
Read Malumick's Crash Reducer[citation needed]

Issues fixed

Settings application not launching

Install the DirectX End-User Runtimes[11][12]

Save games cannot be loaded

Sometimes, if the game is closed and then restarted, attempting to load a save triggers the first tutorial and overwrites the save.
This happens due to an issue of case sensitivity.
Rename save folder[8]
  1. Go to the save game data location.
  2. Rename SAVE to save or vice versa.
Edit hex code[citation needed]
  1. Open jetsetradio.exe with a hex editor such as HxD.
  2. Go to offset 21D80C.
  3. Change SAVE to save.
  4. Save the changes.

Somehow, using the runtime installer fixed the settings application not launching on my Windows 11 24H2 machine, even though all the runtime DLLs themselves were already present on the system and were unmodified after installation.
