Notes:So apparently I recorded this years ago at an attempt at a 3 Day Novel Podfic weekend and failed horribly since pretty much none of it was edited when I decided December 29th to poke through my recorded but not edited podfic to see if I could get one more podfic squeezed out for 2018. The great thing about waiting this long to edit is that it's like experiencing the fic anew while editing, which makes it so much more fun, especially with a fun fic like this.

Mod note: I've updated the masterlist, but since this was the only new podfic since the last update (that I could find) I'm not going to make a separate post.

Wow, it's been 9 years since American Idol S8 aired, and we're still getting new podfics in that fandom. I updated the masterlist today with 4 new podfics, all Kris/Adam:

• Papa Don't Preach by paraka, written by moirariordan (Kris/Adam 1:24:40)
  Jake Gyllenhaal would be an awesome dream baby daddy, Kris knows. He'd give Kris foot massages and run out in the middle of the night to buy him weird food he craves and not care if Kris threw up on him, and he certainly wouldn't dump him for being too distant or whatever the fuck Adam had said.


• 5-Star Service by kalakirya, written by samanthahirr (Kris/Adam 0:34:50)
  A Pretty Woman movie-fusion. At the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Los Angeles, assistant manager Kris does whatever it takes to keep his guests happy...even if it means taking their prostitutes shopping.


• The Plan B for You and Me by kalakirya, written by samanthahirr (Kris/Adam 0:16:22)
  After three years of waiting, Adam is ready to enjoy his happily ever after with Kris…if Kris would just hurry up and realize they're dating already.


• The Sky's the Limit by kalakirya, written by samanthahirr (Kris/Adam. 0:13:27)
  Romantic movie kisses weren't as romantic in real life. All the big-screen glamour was a trick of the editing room—the actual filming was repetitive, impersonal, and boring. Especially when you were overtired, underpaid, and fed up with the bitchy, no-name director who thought he was the next Scorsese.

Also of possible interest to members of this comm, I have a podfic podcast called Auralphonic and last August we had an episode about American Idol podfic.

I have once again updated the masterlists, and this time I didn't wait more than 6 months \o?

This update added 3 podfics, from 2 podficcers, totalling 3:56:10. Season 8 podfic, as a whole, now stands at 51 podficcers, who've made 288 podfics, lasting 180:51:28 (that's over 7.5 days!).

So, this is my 100th work posted to AO3 and I wanted it to be something special. I had recorded this podfic back in February of 2012 after the excitement of hearing the new music Kris performed during his show at the Mint. And, in fact, the opening music is from that performance.
It seemed appropriate that this podfic be my 100th here.

So, it's been a while since I've updated the masterlists here (over 7 months :S), but that means I have quite the treasure trove of podfics to add (18! Almost 6 hours worth!).
