Musings of a Senior Kitty & Baby Bunty

Mommy’s mammogram came out normal. We had 72 hours without air conditioning when it stopped working on the 4th of July. Mommy went to the emergency room and had a fever of 100.4. Everything is back to normal.

Vacation Bible school is starting on the 13th and mommy is going to be a greeter.

The time traveler is finished and mommy is starting on a new project called the jewel box.

The temperature is 90 degrees, with the heat index it feels like it is over 100 degrees. Bunty and I are staying in the apartment and hope the air conditioning keeps working. It’s supposed to be like this until the weekend.

I have my annual mammogram on Wednesday and will be going to the grocery store with a little help from my church friends.

Come August not only will I be 65 years old and on Medicare but there may not be any bus service on my street. I have told the bus company about this and I hope things will work out.

On Sunday mommy’s recliner finally broke. A friend from church offered her his spare recliner. Today mommy is sitting comfortably in the recliner.

Even though it is a used recliner it sure is comfortable.

today i made a friendship bracelet. A couple of the letters are a little wonky because I had so much trouble with the beads and floss.

I’m starting a new cross stitching project called the time traveler, designed by Joan Elliott

We have a finished piece.

It is early in June and mommy hasn’t got too much to do. She does have a couple of appointments later this month.

Yesterday morning we had a visit from the maintenance man, apparently there was a leak from the area of our shower into the apartment below us. He checked everything he could and didn’t repair anything.

Today mommy’s church circle had lunch at Walt’s Other Pub and mommy ate a delicious salad. It had grilled chicken on top, strawberry slices, mandarin oranges, craisins, cheese crumbles and a raspberry vinaigrette on a bed of lettuce and spinach leaves.

The project is ready for details like backstitching and beads.
