Heading home to the primo’s (cousin) house one evening in downtown Merida, Mexico. The ensuing twilight felt soft. It was all good.

Sun on a downward trajectory out in the desert somewhere. Hard to believe there was life here, human life, at one time. What happened?

In the pond outside an art museum. This preps you going in to take a breath and relax so you can truly enjoy what you will see inside. Coming out, pretty much the same…relaxes you to carry the beauty forward in to your everyday life.

Who says you can’t go back, and you shouldn’t look in the rear view mirror? I’ve been enjoying the recent WordPress rewinds of old posts. I was standing on a path overlooking the Ligurian Sea; a boat came in to the area and signore boatman started calling up to me…in Italian. I had learned a few phrases in Italian for this trip, but what he was saying hadn’t been included in my phrase book. We waved to each other as I walked away. I made up a few stories in my mind about what he was telling me. Who knows, I could have been living in Italy now had I understood him.
The stuff of memories.
