A Good Cause
From September 1 to October 7, Bloom will be part of the Walk-e-sha Bucks Program at the Women’s Center. This applies whether you come in and purchase an item, or call to have flowers delivered. October 7th will mark the end of the program and the Woman’s Center Walk in honor of Jeri Phillips, one of the founders of the Center.

Planners and helpers
Lately I’ve been noticing how brides handle their actual wedding day. The months of meetings and planning and decision-making… it all comes together on this day, and quite frankly, it’s a lot of work. I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s not possible to be too organized. It’s probably the biggest party you’ll ever throw, with hundreds of details. You’ve hired vendors who know their stuff and who you trust. However, one mistake I’ve seen brides make is not having someone who is in charge of it all; someone to be the “overview” person. Sometimes venues have a contact person who fills that role. If not, the best one for the job is either a hired professionial like a wedding coordinator or a trusted friend who is very organized and efficient. Did you know you can hire “day of” coordinators? They are a great option if the budget doesn’t allow for one throughout the process. A bride shouldn’t have to think about anything except getting relaxed and beautiful on her wedding day. Bridesmaids and moms have other things to do as well.
Another important thing is writing things down. If you have it on paper, it’s easy for those vendors and helpers to know exactly how you want things done! Knowing that you have clearly delegated the tasks will help you focus on enjoying your special day.
