Late June to July

Image
It is another day of summer here in Woodburn, OR. It's been hot outside and plants and birds need more water in their bird bath.  I decided to get a new towel for our kitchen, and I like what it can be read about.  Our USA country gets help especially when they are in the military and go to wars and just being on their places where they work. Many of those men and women were in the military had been killed from other people in the world that were at war.
The blanket is one that I have had for four years and still use it on the top of my twin extra-long bed.
It was made by a few ladies, including two ladies that have known me for years.

Image
I decided to order this item for our home to celebrate 250 years of having United States of America those many years. I decided to get this one as I know that God helps us and America. God cares for other people around the world.

I read this on Facebook and was able to download it onto my phone. It's written through
Psalm 33:12

I bought Kleenex at Costco, and they were on sale for 12 of them connected together. I remember Phil and I and possibly our children, Megan and Justin, went to the area Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. A place to visit and see where people were in the American Civil War. July 1-3,1863.  I was able to view what I am looking for on phone.

Phil and I went outside to look for the airplanes from the military to fly over our house and they were fly to the cemetery, but we never saw or heard it. There were clouds and did hear planes but may have been too high. Apparently, Megan was able to hear them. We decided to wear our Air Force shirts that day, May 25th.  The bag is one that I got when I was shopping at Home Goods store in Salem. I needed a new quilt for Phil's bed, and I was able to find one that has more cotton and less polyesters. I have seen those elsewhere and it's a good item to use. He likes it even though he wanted to keep the other one that he had. It has been so old as I remember having one like it as well and got rid of mine. He did appreciate it. I bought the bag for 99 cents to take it with me instead of dropping it and I had a few other items to put in it. The bag looks like a good way to celebrate 250 years in USA.
Megan took the picture of us.

Good memories of seeing this as well online.

Phil and I watched on OPB July 3rd in the evening after dinner. The four people in the blue were
Artemis 11 Astronauts mission April 2026. They were able to talk with the man or the right side.

Image
Men singing and playing guitars and a piano for music. It was really good music.

Celebrating 4th of July with fireworks behind the building.

Image
All four photos were on our Roku television. It was in Washington, D.C. A lot of good music and other people singing and views of people that were in the military.

Image
I like teas and books and other items.

Image
A week ago, I drove over to Dutch Bros to get iced tea as it was hot outside. I got a blueberry muffin that they make. They were both delicious. I did that after shopping at Bimart store, across the road. I got some tea this late morning at Dutch Bros that is hot and delicious.
after exercise at the North Marion Adult Center and went back and ate lunch with people that I remember. I was able to get help from a lady who heads the adult center to help me walk from my car to indoors and she helped when I was leaving. I am glad I get help but not sure if I will just do exercise and get tea and go back home. I have issues walking that way down with possibly falling.

I had a colonoscopy two weeks ago July 2nd in Oregon Clinic is Tualatin. Phil was helpful with me. Good for him to get his lunch after I was inside and getting taken care of. Once I was done and able to leave, we went to Carl's Jr. restaurant when he had eaten before me. I was hungry then as I could not eat anything for almost 2 days. I am glad that I able to eat and walk and drink and water outside a few times a week. I will know more in two what's been found inside my colon area.

I hope you are having a good summertime or other earth times where you live. God bless you all and have other good time together with other people!!!

Good time in May

Image
Good day, my friends. I have been off the blog lately and decided to finish it.  We are getting a few days away from 4th of July being in the 250 years being in the United States of America. The vehicle picture is in the Route 99 restaurant after church service May 17th. The people who work there have made delicious meals and are king. Megan texted the other day that they are to be closed until next week as they are getting things taken care of in the kitchen. She texted it to me when she was at the NW Christian Convention in Turner. She was there from home and got there in time to find a place to park. Had an upstairs bedroom for three nights. Home on Friday afternoon. Way too tired to stay there until the evening service ended.

Image
A good scripture verse that I found on Facebook that I like and to share it will other friends that I know. Jesus our Savior helps me everyday and I know it helps other people throughout the world.

Image
I had a good time at bible study and a lady who was there had made strawberry jam. She and her husband were moving to Utah for a while to help people get helped and spread Jesus' blessing and help. She still had more jams and let us take one. A few more left so I took another one for a friend. Of course, I drank tea with my lunch that day after bible study and a bit of shopping.

Image
Roses that we have had for almost 9 years after our 40th anniversary.  It looks like the other flowers in the front lawn, but it grows a bit different with some of them are leaning down over the lawn. I hope to cut some back most likely next week, due to walking and a few other items to figure out a few other things today at home.

Image
I drove to Home Goodies in Salem after being at Union Gospel Mission putting cards together with pens, two different papers for giving money and something else to read.
I wanted a new quilt for Phil's twin extra-long bed as the other one that he had was there for years as the other quilts that I found had no cotton in it at all. I finally found one that had a lot of cotton in it and he likes it even though he didn't want a new one. Finally, I gave it to him when he was a day off work and he likes it. I wound up cutting the old quilt and put them in the garbage bag.  I walked through a lot of places to view what else I would like to have. As usual, I stopped in spot to look at the mugs and I really like them. I did buy one from a young lady who was graduating from high school in May. I remember her for years when she was a little girl. I like a lot of mugs as well, but I have a few new ones and got rid of two them that were old.

In the morning of May 7th, I drove to Oregon Garden in Silverton, OR to be a volunteer to help at event for women. I was helping people put food together in the kitchen area and then listened to Jennie Allen, to talk about women who have rough times in their lives. There were ladies that came from Samaki home in Keizer. I remember seeing them as they came through the doors on one side as I welcomed them in. There were men as well. I did bring my own lunch as I didn't know if there was any food to eat. I was able to eat a cookie that was there and did go on a little walk outside. I took some photos of plants and couldn't walk up higher do to my walking by myself. I did give help to others after that time and then had dinner and watched the second service that evening. Good to drive back home safely with Megan, as she got there a bit later than I expected. She and Phil were eating at Home Place Restaurant, and it took them longer than expected to get their dinners. We already had tickets to get this event due to getting on my email in April.  I remember seeing Jennie a few years ago when she was in another church in Salem. I remember reading bible study from her as well.  Flowers looked good and due to light, it looks different.  There was good music that morning and evening. We were able to get Jennie's books for free in the evening. Apparently, someone paid for all of them to Union Gospel Mission. That was so good!!! I did get another one and gave it to my friend Tamara's birthday last Tues.

Image
I colored this card to send to my friend Teresa's birthday. She likes teas as well as coffee. I don't drink coffees at all. I did years ago when I was 19 years old and tried a few and I didn't like them. I drink a lot of teas through every week.

Image
Hydrangea flowers in our front lawn in May as it comes that time. Other colors are different and come early and come later.

Phil and I went to church in the gym this morning as it's a one service. We had a good time there and ate lunch together with friends and meeting a couple who had a little girl who is 3 months old. I was able to talk with the as they are in the military as well. Good to share what we and they have done. They are younger than are but still good to know them.  Phil and I left the gym to get out and watch people of the lower lawn doing races on their legs including children from 5 to adults. Phil was able to take a chair out to let me sit on it. We had a good time together for 20 minutes then we drove to Safeway for that I need to have this week.

Image
As we were leaving, I took the photo of the tree that has become a tree house as some of the tree had to be cut back a few years ago due to a storm. The metal hanger is for slip and slide that was put up Saturday. Hopefully it went okay and nobody gets injured.

*************

It is getting late and I need to get some more food to eat. I can only use specific items to drink and eat as I have three more days to eat before I get my colonoscopy on July 2. I don't eat what I like most of the time. But hopefully the colonoscopy goes well and good results. I remember having one years ago when I had diverticulitis. I don't have it now due to going to a hospital in Silverton to get taken care of to view what the abdominal area has in it. I have no cancer either. I am ready to get over it and be able to eat food after Phil and I leave the Oregon Clinic that afternoon. Hopefully we won't get slowing down so much of the freeway. Last time it took longer as it's that time of day and there was an accident on the left side of the freeway and a few other people needed help with their vehicles as well. Longer than expected but we made back home safely.

We did have some rain lately and Saturday in was raining for a while and there was at least one thunder that Megan and I heard. I am sure that there was lightning, but we were indoors. Snow in areas in Idaho a few days ago.

I hope you have a good rest of June and hope to get more reading of other blogposts that I know. I appreciate ladies who commented me recently and those who don't but still like to read by blogpost as well.

Happy and blessed 4th of July! God bless America 1776-2026!!!
God bless you all!!!

Flowery Days of Spring

Image
Days with more flowers to view especially the one that is outside through the kitchen window. I did take the picture of it outside when it was sunny. It's cherry flowers but no cherries. Now it is going away.

Image
New mug that I got at TJ Maxx store to use part of the gift card that my sister Kerri gave me last month. I like Vincent Van Gogh drawing of Irises. I like irises as well as there is some blooming beside our house.

Image
Flowery trees in front of my car at church when I go to bible study. More flowers going on the front of my car a earlier this week. Phil thought it was bird poop on my car. That's what happens at times when he returns home from work. Made me smile!!

Image
The first lilac bush is different color that the second lilac bush. The first on I have had for years and the second is close to our garage. I could smell the aroma of it this afternoon when I came home from shopping. Hopefully Megan's lilac bush will keep growing. She was able to get it into a deeper pot. We both got them at Hulda Klager Lilac Gardens in Woodland, WA. It was good to visit there a few years ago to see Mrs. Jane Kirkpatrick. She did write a book "Where Lilacs Still Bloom." March 2012 was most likely the first time I had been there.

Image
Even though it looks like Christmas, I put the roses that I got last week in the living room. I most likely with change the Christmas time to something else with Precious Memories and different angels. All though we need angels in our life and God helps us through rough times in life.

I found this recipe online as I read something about it on the box Minute brown rice. I finally made it last week. It was delicious. I am going to start making it a bit earlier as there is items to cut and heat up. It was good to have Phil help me with it. I hope you can view what the recipe is if you want to use it.

Image
Orchid flowers I got last week at a store where I shopped at. I hope to put it in the ground where other flowers are at and be able to see it next year!!

Image
This is a bag that I made last Wednesday afternoon at the adult center. It took a bit longer that I expected but the other people there had fun as well and talk with each other once in a while. It will be most likely to somebody's gift. I wish there was something to read and know a bit more how to make it. I like the red, white and blue colors due to 250 years in the USA in July!!

We have had some rain last week but none this week. Warmer weather a few times then cooler.
Phil and I had a good time meeting our friend Steve who had a stroke Sunday afternoon after church and eating lunch. We drove home to put the cooler on as it was warmer that day. Steve was happy to see us and he understood what we told him. Later after we got back home, Phil went on a walk and unfortunately, he tripped and his left arm wasn't good once he got home on his first lap of walk. I was able to find a bandage and Megan helped him a bit more. I did go on a walk with him after that was taken care. I did need to shop at Walmart to get another bandage box that had a good size and would stay connected to his arm. I did find it and found a few other items that we needed before getting back home last night.

It was good to view the hydrangea plants when we got back home walking on Sunday afternoon. We have had it for over 30 years as we are still at the same house.
Again, this week Megan is having chemo, and my sister Kerri will have infusion.
Sad that there are more cancers in our family and some people that we know. So grateful for prayers and help through our Lord Jesus Christ who knows the people in need.

Have a good time in your life!! Hopefully you will be able to read your bible in whatever language that you use. Have a good week, my reader friends!!
