Happy Tuesday! Banana bread is baking in the oven. Taste buds are anxiously waiting. I hope your day is off to a good and perhaps tasty start! Enjoy a treat or the drink of your choice as you read the quotes. Hope you enjoy them and look forward to hearing your thoughts. Thanks for stopping by!
All was well in WildBlossom Meadow. Dawn was breaking as the cozy bees began to wake up to greet the new day.
Some were rather grumpy when first waking up. Polly had told Bixby to stop reading the news. Had assured him that if he were to fall asleep in a fragrant flower some night, he would wake up full of joy. He only scowled and retorted that he didn’t need no poofy, sweet smelling flowers. Then he went back to reading the latest buzz around town. Apparently, the sunny disposition of the sunflower had not rubbed off on him!

Unlike Bixby, Polly thought there was nothing that compared to waking up on a beautiful, dew kissed flower. Its sweet fragrance and soft petals enveloped you in a warm hug.
Polly sipped at her special honeycomb drink from her friend Zippy. He flew daily from flower to flower, bringing the busy bees their morning power drink.
Watching Zippy fly away, Polly wondered if bees were the only ones that appreciated flowers.
She had seen the tall two-legged creatures bend down to admire them, so she knew they liked them. Although she had witnessed a lot of them often walking by. Not even stopping to take a breath of their sweet fragrance. Polly felt sorry for them.
She closed her eyes, letting herself bask in the sweet fragrance once more before getting to work.
There were a lot of flowers to visit yet, and miles to go before she slept. She would only close her eyes for a brief moment.
Miles away in Moonveil River. Puddles was floating along, taking his afternoon siesta.
Splash!
Puddles eyes flew open, hearing snickering beside him. Ollie, his jokester friend, had splashed him.
“Time to wake up before you go to bed!” He said as he swam out of the reach of Puddles.
How was it dark already? Hadn’t the sun been shining only moments before? He couldn’t have slept that long, could he?
Oh, wowzers! What was that? His eyes widened as he swam closer.
Yes, he had seen lotus blossoms before, but none like this. It glowed! The glow kept drawing him closer until he was almost upon the lotus.
Puddles was mystified by the glowing flower. Was it magical?
My son watched this game and has got us into watching it. Have you been watching? Soccer is one sport I can enjoy watching. In High School Soccer was the school sport, not football. Loved going to the games.

I read up on this, and it says he ended up asking his loyal bodyguard to kill him with his sword.
What was taking Seymore so long? Why was she the one left holding the skull. What was he doing?
Bethany sighed. This wasn’t how she had imagined her Saturday to go!
She didn’t dress up, only to be stuck in the woods holding a skull. In fact why was she still holding the skull? She put it down.
This was all Tara’s fault, and she would be sure to let her know. That was if Bethany ever made her way out of the woods.
If Tara hadn’t pushed her to go out on a date, she could be reading under a tree right now, enjoying the calm breeze.
A bookworm’s life wasn’t boring like Tara seemed to think. But Bethany thought she would go ahead and go on one date to make her friend happy.
Seymore’s dating profile had appeared rather nerdy and boring. In fact, Tara had raised her eyebrows when Bethany showed her. She questioned her about possibly picking someone with a tad more exciting profile.
Nope, Seymore’s profile was perfect for Bethany. He was an avid reader, so he was a good choice. They have been enjoying talking online, so at least she knew that she should enjoy the evening.
Someone was coming.
“Seymore! You are back.”
He was smiling. ” Yes, sorry it took a little longer than I had thought it would. He pushed his glasses up on his nose. We can go now.”
Looking down on the ground he picked up the skull and handed it to Bethany.
“You will have to hold this for a little longer, please.”
“Oh, okay.”
He saw her hesitation. “It’s only until we get there, and then you will understand everything when we get there.”
Bethany wasn’t sure what to think. When he had asked her to wear a white dress for their date, she had no idea why, and now she still had no clue. This skull only added to the mystery. Thankfully, it wasn’t a real skull, or she would have been out of these woods quicker than a gazelle!
What was Seymour up to? She wasn’t fearful. Actually, she had been feeling comfortable around him. As they had walked in the woods, they had chatted freely.
“Here we are.”
Bethany’s eyes widened in surprise. There was a table set up with a red tablecloth and a bouquet of flowers. A bottle of Blueberry wine . Wine goblets and a bucket of Kentucky fried chicken and buttermilk biscuits. Her mouth was watering.
Along with the food, she noticed a ticking clock on the table, too. That seemed a little odd, and why was there a chess game laid out on the table? Did he expect them to play the game? She didn’t know how.
“The flowers are lovely. Prettier than this skull.” She gave a small laugh.
Looking at her with eager anticipation, he asked, “Do you understand what all of this means?” He pointed at the table.
She pursed her lips, trying to think.
“Think of your white dress and the color of the flowers? Do they remind you of any stories? ”
It took a little, but then, with a sparkle in her eye, it all dawned on her.
“The Lady in the White Dress.”
“The Purple Orchid.”
“The Mysterious Death in the Vineyard
“The Mystery of the Old Clock”
“The Runaway Chicken,” Bethany laughed at that one. “Poor chicken.”
“I can’t believe you went to all this trouble. These are some of my favorite stories that I had posted on GoodReads. Wow!” She was impressed with his creativity.
“But I didn’t mention any books about chess?” She questioned, looking at the chess game.
He gave a sheepish grin. “True. But remember, “The Mystery of the Lost Knight?”
She smiled. Who knew, maybe this wouldn’t be the only date.
Donovan woke up early. Ran two miles. Showered and dressed. Ate a hearty breakfast of sausage gravy and biscuits , like his grandfather Rupert had done every day. Then, he hiked a little ways, leading the sheep to a meadow to graze in for the afternoon.
Donovan had been caring for his friend’s flock of sheep for two weeks while his friend was on vacation. He had enjoyed the change of pace. It was peaceful being outdoors with them.
He almost wished that he could watch them for another week. This had been much better being out in the open air as compared to working in his office.
Maybe he should see if his boss would continue to let him work from home. Donovan believed that he could get used to it. Though he would miss the tasty, melt in your mouth, chocolate chip cookies that Bonnie would often bring to work to share.
Counting the sheep again, he caught his breath. Something was wrong. He counted again. No, how could one be missing? He smacked his head.
“Here sheepy Hear little sheep!”
This had been his worst fear. That something bad would happen to the sheep while his friend was gone. Of course, on the last day, one goes missing!
Counting the sheep again, he hoped that he had simply miscounted. No, one of the sheep was definitely. The little one. Oh, where had it gone?
Donovan looked around but didn’t see any sign of it. Thankfully, the rest of the sheep were still grouped together. But he was afraid to turn his back on them to go look for the lost lamb.
He had the sheep follow him as he walked, keeping a sharp eye out for the stray lamb.
In the nearby town of BitterSweet Creek, it was a normal Wednesday at Mason’s diner. Tippner was enjoying his poached eggs and grits while Mason was making his way around the diner, chatting with the customers.
“Would you like more coffee, Miss Penny?” Cara asked, working hard as usual.
“No, thank you, dear.” Miss Penny smiled, but it wasn’t at Cara. She was looking past her, swooning at Mason.
Cara was getting ready to walk to the next table when old Miss Penny grabbed her arm and motioned Cara to bend her head down to hear her.
In a conspiratorial whisper, she asked, “Do I have enough bright red lipstick on, dear? Do you think Mason will notice the streaks of purple that I had my hair dresser add this morning?” She fluttered her eyelashes as Cara tried not to laugh. Miss Penny was a sweet lady and a little crazy over Mason.
“I think the purple streaks look lovely in your glistening white hair, and yes, your lipstick is fine.”
“Thank you, dear.” Then she turned her head away from Cara, fastening her gaze on Mason once more.
Shaking her head with a smile, Cara walked over to the next booth to wait on customers.
“Yoo-Hoo… Mason, can I have more coffee, please?” She raised her mug in the air. The same one that she hadn’t wanted Cara to refill.
Donovan was still looking, and then he spied the little lamb. Now, how did she get all the way up there?
The lamb was up on a high rock. Pretty wildflowers circled around it.
Was that the enchanted rock that his friend had mentioned to him before?
With much relief, Donovan led the sheep over close to the rock. He didn’t want them climbing it, too. Fortunately, they didn’t seem interested in climbing, but they did show great interest in grazing on the wildflowers.
Donovan climbed up the rock, and the lamb ran down the other side.
Frolicking in the grass, the lamb soon joined the others. There was something gold and sparkly hanging out of his mouth.
The lamb shook his head, and Donovan heard the sound of a ringing bell. The little lamb was ringing a gold bell.
His jaw dropped in amazement as he looked up into the sky!
Tippner was eating one of Cara’s delicious cherry pies and chatting with Mason. They were discussing the gold rush times. Swapping historical facts and, of course, swapping puns as well.
Tippner waved his hand in the air, motioning Cara over.
“What would you like, Tippner? More pie or, I know, the special drink of the day. A coconut cream latte!”
Tippner scoffed, “HA! I will drink one of your sickly sweet lattes when pigs fly!”
“That goes for me too.” Mason added.
In shock, Cara stared out the window. “What about when sheep fly?”
Happy Tuesday! Our portal to the furnace has closed! We can walk outside and breathe a lot easier now! I hope you enjoy the quotes and cuteness overload warning : Not many deep quotes today, I just kept finding cute pics with the quotes and couldn’t resist them. 😉
Rayanna glided around the roses. They didn’t need any help with their stunning beauty. She breathed in their sweet fragrance on this peaceful night.
Never would she tire of glowing full moon nights.
Rayanna had moved up in the fairy world. She was full of bliss to be in charge now.
Delighted about being trusted to add her own magical touch to wherever she thought could use it.
Oh, the fun she had been having, and it was only beginning. There were so many places she wanted to go, leaving the fingerprint of her special touch behind.
The only question was where to begin.
One night, she visited Hazelnut, the rabbit, leaving her mesmerized by dancing dragonflies.
Then she had a fun surprise awaiting her by Chaz and his friends. She was invited to join them for gooey, yummy S’mores.

As a thanks to Chaz, she arranged for a magical moment that he and his love could share together over some cups of matcha.

Rayanna was happy to remember Caramela’s birthday with a special cinnamon vanilla latte that she shared with her friend.

Yes, as time went by, Rayanna couldn’t be happier creating magic for her forest friends. Then the day came when she began to grow restless.
She was eager to see new places. One day at the fairy convention, she heard some fairies talking about a place they had been. The name alone piqued Rayanna’s interest. She had to go and see it for herself.
Saying goodbye to her forest friends and promising to visit, she headed for the Enchanted Rock. She wondered what animal friends she would meet there. One fairy had talked about seeing an armadillo out of the corner of her eye, but when she turned to see it, it was gone.
What really intrigued Rayanna was what the other fairy said next. When she had landed on the rock, she noticed something gold and sparkly. It reminded her of a bell, but what would a bell be doing on an enchanted rock? A pretty blue flower distracted her, and she flew away. Rayanna hoped the bell was still there when she arrived. She always liked the sound of bells.
I didn’t think this wastrue when I first read it , but it is!

Interesting perspective. Hmm.. A humble man. I know some who never tire of talking about themselves.

Another fact I didn’t believe at first. Again, life is stranger than fiction. Back in the 1800s, the upper class of England hired “ornamental” hermits for their gardens. They would live in a little hut andtheir food would be provided. Hamilton hired his first one with strict rules. Had to wrar a robe of goat hair. No cutting their hair or nails or beard and no speaking to others! For seven years, Charles would pay what would estimate to $100,000 today. The first guy didn’t last more than 3 weeks. He was caught sneaking off one night and going to a pub. 😂
House finally has a magical portal… Wrong one … Magical door opens into a great, wide furnace… At least the freezer door opens into a portal of flavored icees! What is your favorite cool treat?
When you think about having a 4th of Julycookout at midnight or simply throwing the burgers on the patio during the day …
“From California to the New York Island, from the Redwood Forest to the gulf stream waters, this land was made for you and me.” Thankful that I have been able to see so much of it. Hoping it will stay as beautiful as it is todayfor years to come for you and me.”
