First and foremost, I want to say thank you. Thank you to everyone for your thoughts and prayers. Thank you for your words of encouragement. Thank you for making me feel better and for letting me know that I have so many people who care. I was at a very low point in my last blog post, filled with fear, worry and anxiety. I have felt calm since then and I know it’s because of all of you. So again, thank you.
After I posted, all of your responses gave me the courage to call my doctors and demand to be seen earlier by the orthopedic doctor. Instead of July 11th, I will now be seen June 21st. That’s next week! I am so relieved and thankful I don’t have to wait until next month. Keep the prayers and positive thoughts coming. I appreciate all of you so much.
I have also started back on my medicine. My hips were stil hurting, even after going off the tamoxifen. It’s been a very hard decision, but I have to do all I can to be here. If I do have a recurrence, I can at least say I did all I could. My prayer is there is no recurrence and I will not have one. I have three boys growing up before my eyes and I want to continue to watch them grow.
I have learned I need to stay positive, even when it’s hard. Fear can creep in too easily. My mind goes to that dark place. But when you’re a cancer survivor, it does at times. I have learned it’s okay, just don’t stay in that place for long. I have a great support system and team of doctors. I am forever thankful for that. They both keep me positive and fuel my fight.
