Leaving Him Flat on His (Rear)

Clock and Dishes

I’m a second-hand clock
sitting in a crock,
surrounded by china and glass.
This sounds like a poem,
but the poet went home,
leaving no satisfying end rhyme.

Surrounded by olde dishes and glass, it appears a time warp is at play.

Lots of stock. let the china chime in –
    Show some glass
sTICK it to the trash-tockin’ –
    Keep on walkin’
-Spinin’ plates- before it get too late
    to buy .

Order your verse by the foot or the metre,

In a garage sale I still have class,
even if I only look good, I’m still right twice a day.
For this I hope someone will find beauty and pay.
