About the Artist:

GLORIÆ DEI CANTORES SCHOLA is dedicated to the singing and study of Gregorian chant. Its expertise and experience come from daily chanting the Liturgy of the Hours as well as the Ordinary and Proper of the Mass at the Church of the Transfiguration in Orleans, Massachusetts. The Schola also conducts chant workshops and performs in concert with Gloriæ Dei Cantores. Years of study with the late Dr. Mary Berry, CBE, founder of the Schola Gregoriana in Cambridge, England, and the monks of St. Peter’s Abbey, Solesmes, France, also contribute to the Schola’s passion for Gregorian chant as a vibrant and living form of sung prayer.

    I have played this many times since it arrived and find it to be relaxing and perfect background music. It is calming and does not get in the way while I write or read. I do not profess to be an expert on this type of music but this collection has inspired me to buy more music which is similar. Of course music is very subjective but I think all who purchase this CD will enjoy it.

    I have many Gregorian Chant Discs. This one is my favorite. I love the back and forth of the male and female voices. Beautiful for the entire disc.

    This is a wonderful cd for Gregorian chant enthusiasts. There is no harmony--as is typical of Gregorian. The sound and fildelity are superb.

    I have a large Gregorian chant collection, most of which are by Monks. I have only one CD by nuns. I love the women's voices in Gregorian chant. This collection is particularly unique from all the others in my collection in that it has the voices of men and women combined. The recording is beautifully done and the voices are wonderful. This one is a real stand out. If you only want one Gregorian Chant CD, this is the one to get.

    The unit powered up fine and I loaded a clean CD into the port. It played fine through my Vocopro auxiliary amplifier. However, when I tried to eject the CD the gate would not open. I tried using the remote and also pressing the Eject button on the actual unit.

    Very disappointed as I had ordered this for a paid gig and I ended up having to borrow someone else's equipment.

    I could have ordered a replacement, but I've decided I've had it with Vocopro.
