Such a fun little book. Got it for our three grand daughters, age 6, 5 and 3. We have read it multiple times and I feel will be read for years to come. Reminds me of my childhood

Vendor shipped very promptly and pleased they were exactly what was described new books and what ordered. I would order again from this seller. I bought two copies of this book for two small toddlers 1 and 2 years old for Christmas. Both of them loved this book and constantly want their parents to read it as a bedtime story. I added a stuffed gingerbread boy with the story book that I sewed since I am a sewer and they just loved this book with their miniature stuffed Gingerbread man. I loved this version of this book when i was a child and I am 60 years old. The words are simple, easy reading, very catchy words and repetitive for young children. I say this version is still the best one out there. I wish at time I could have found a hard cover version of this book. The price was great for a soft cover and golden books version book. The parents tell me their two little girls lover this book and never get bored reading this story over and over again after Christmas.

Traditional, repetitive gingerbread folktale retelling

The book is fabulous. It's the best version of the gingerbread man folk tale to read aloud to children. I'm very happy it's in print and available. The end sheets were loose and wrinkled. Maybe they got wet at some time. Or maybe the glue wasn't applied properly in the first place. I was surprised, because Turtleback is such a great binding. Anyway, I didn't return it. I have access to specialized book glue and know how to fix it. I wonder if any of the other copies have the same problem. The text block of the book was fine. So was the cover. Again, I love this book and it's illustrator.

My son enjoys this book so much we read it almost every night

Some people complain the death of the cookie man is horrible. If a child doesn't understand this is only make believe and not true, he/she needs some real world experiences. Christ sake, this is a talking and walking cookie man. He gets eaten up at the end with no drama in the story line to infer a bloody or crumbly demise and no extra artwork to show a dead orcrumbly cookie. Get over it already. It's a really cute story about teasing too much. With a end result of a mean gingerbread man that is no more. Oops, maybe lots of teasing is no good. Maybe he's right.

My children love the classic fairy tales.

Now they can play a CD and fall a sleep.

Ich hatte mich zusammen mit meinen Kindern auf die englische Ausgabe vom Lebkuchenmann gefreut, da es eines ihrer Lieblingsmärchen ist und umso enttäuschter waren wir doch über die an den Haaren herbeigezogene Geschichte ohne Pferd, Kuh, Schwein und Hahn. Am Schluss steht der Lebkuchenmann noch nicht einmal am Flussufer um vom Fuchs hinüber gebracht zu werden. Nein, der Fuchs frißt ihn einfach auf. Auch die Illustrtionen lassen zu wünschen übrig. Alles in allem also ein völlig überflüssiges Buch.

Excelente libro con cd incluido, este libro me lo leían en el kinder y ahora se lo quise regalar a mi hijo, se los recomiendo muchisimo. Pero sobre todo que lo compren con este proveedor, son super confiables y amables, todo llego en perfecto estado.

おおきなかぶの、うんとこしょ、どっこいしょのような、くり返しのフレーズが出てきて、そこはあえて簡略化せず、原文で読んでます。

L’histoire est très bien, il y a beaucoup de vocabulaires. Je le recommande.
