Coaching and PD Services
WRK Enterprises provides ongoing coaching by Dr. William Kist to teachers on a regular basis. Dr. Kist believes in a non-adversarial coaching stance (“sitting on the same side of the table,” per Elena Aguilara). In addition to being in classrooms with teachers and students, Dr. Kist can provide research assistance for teachers and administrators, helping them find teaching materials, units and strategies and also performing curriculum audits.
About William Kist
William Kist, Ph.D. is Professor Emeritus of Education at Kent State University and has been an instructional coach for the Institute for Student Achievement from 2018-2023. Bill holds Ohio certification as superintendent and high school principal and has been working with schools and educators on the national and international level for 20 years in the areas of integrating technology, teaching online, and using high-yield instructional strategies, particularly in urban settings. Bill has presented many keynote addresses for such organizations as the National Dropout Prevention Conference, American Reading Forum, and Denver Comic-Con. An author of over 50 articles, Bill has penned five books including his recent Curating a Literacy Life: Student-Centered Learning with Digital Media (Teachers College Press).
