
Serbian towns
The traditional wooden village of Drvengrad was created by filmmaker Emir Kusturica in the mountains of Mokra Gora. Once designed as a film set the town consists of wooden architecture, mountain views, and cultural events. There are also streets named after Cuban revolutionary Ernesto Che Guevara, Argentine football player Diego Armando Maradona, Serbian actor Miodrag Petrović Čkalja, and famous film directors Federico Fellini and Ingmar Bergman. One street is named after Novak Djoković, one of the best tennis players in the world.
Drvengrad features a significant church dedicated to Saint Sava. This wooden church serves as a spiritual focal point for the village. It was created by renowned filmmaker Emir Kusturica and reflects traditional Serbian architecture
