Where has this been my whole life?!

I HATE pills on fabric. Not just the look, but the feel on my skin. I have literally been throwing away and donating items that were pilled because I cannot tolerate the way it feels on my skin.

This shaver came very highly recommended for its size, rechargability, and battery life. The first time I tried this shaver, it had a 80% battery at the start. I did two summer rompers covered in pilling from sleeping in them, my favorite shirt, and a massive section on a queen size summer quilt before the battery hit 10%. I had to empty the lint bin 3 times it was taking off so much mess.

All of the items were completely pill free when done! The shaver will also remove (cut) picked threads and loose strings. It will also eat through serging in a heartbeat, so stay away from serged areas on your garments and blankets.

The photo is a before and after of a square on my favorite summer quilt that had become unusable due to the pilling. Now, its soft again!

I will be extremely careful before using this on any loose or fluffy sweaters. It will be great for my thin, tight knit sweaters.

I have already saved more garments from the trash than this thing cost.

Side benefit, its super satisfying lol. Its definitely not silent, but not even loud enough to annoy my most skittish dog. So turn on your favorite show or audiobook and get to work saving your garments!

I have put the HOMEASY Electric Lint Remover through its paces over the last few months. As someone who hates getting rid of high-quality pieces just because of pilling, I wanted to see if this tool could handle a variety of surfaces. It has successfully de-pilled my delicate clothing, heavy bedding, throw blankets, and even my high-traffic swivel office chair.

The Pros:

Multiple Speed Settings: The three speed gears are incredibly useful. I use the lower setting for delicate sweaters and the higher speed for denser fabrics like my couch and office chair.

Digital Battery Display: The LED screen is a standout feature. It shows the exact battery percentage (0 to 100), so you are never left guessing how much runtime you have left mid-project.

Large Shaving Head: The 70mm mesh cover means fewer passes are needed for large items like blankets or sofa cushions.

The Cons:

Charging Port Finiteness: My biggest complaint is the charging port. The cable does not always insert smoothly or correctly into the port. You have to be quite precise to ensure it is actually charging.

Lint Chamber Size: While it works great on furniture, the lint collector fills up quickly on larger projects. You will need to stop and empty it a few times if you are tackling an entire couch.

If you can overlook the slightly finicky charging connection, this is a fantastic investment for maintaining your home and wardrobe. It makes older fabrics look fresh and new again, which has saved me a significant amount of money on replacements. Totally worth the price for the versatility alone.

What I learned is that many professional reviewers recommended this particular fabric pill remover. So, I purchased it.

I found that it does a really good job. It takes some patience and may require, for really bad pilling, that one goes over a spot repeatedly. However, the danger, of course, is that you use it too repeatedly or too deeply or in an improper way and find that you’ve made a hole. This is what happened to me with a sweater I’d only worn once and was upset to have ruined. However, I’ve used it on many of my other sweaters, and it does give them a renewed look. So, I would recommend this with the caution that one has to be VERY careful not to create a hole as I did.

One thing I like a lot about this product is that it’s rechargeable. It’s a great convenience to be able to plug in a cable, charge it, and then use it without a cord or not to have to regularly buy batteries for it.

I used this fabric shaver occasionally on sweaters and whatnot, and it seemed to work well when I did. Then, in preparation for summer, I decided to clean up my cashmere sweaters so I could store them until the fall. I only got one sweater done before the battery died (which is fine-- I hadn't charged it in a little while), so I plugged it in and decided to get back to it later.

When I came to check if the battery was done charging, I noticed that-- although it said it was charged to 100%-- one area on the display wasn't lighting up anymore (see pic). No biggie-- if it still works, who cares if the display isn't perfect?

Well, I tried to turn it on, and... nada. It's just totally bricked. The display still lights up (albeit not completely), but the shaving function is gone.

I'm pretty bummed, as it's definitely not the cheapest shaver out there and I really didn't get enough use out of it for it to be crapping out already. (Not to mention the fact that we're just pumping out worse and worse products that all just end up in the landfill with increasing rapidity.)

This has been my best purchase in recent times. I had a clothes shaver in the past but it was not as effective as this one. This shaver has 3 settings and I used the highest setting to get the lint off 2 of my Patagonia Jackets. The product description says that tge battery lasts for 90 minutes. Shaving lint off both my Jackets only used 30 minutes of the battery time.

Unfortunately this item has stopped working after about a year. The battery no longer will charge

Works great - I ordered a few and this one removed the most pulls / fuzz than the others. It also held a charge really well.

This is an incredible sweater shaver. The ability to regulate the speed, the multiple (sharp) blades, the replacement blades it comes with, etc, etc make this a great purchase. It's incredibly gentle yet thoroughly removes pils, even on cashmere. Highly recommend.
