Team Cardion Reimagines Pacemaker Power

Team Cardion developed an implantable energy-harvesting system that captures the heart’s natural motion and converts it into electricity to help extend pacemaker battery life. Inspired by personal connections to patients with pacemakers, the project earned the Technology and Innovation Prize at this year’s Penn Engineering Senior Design Competition.
