Skilled trades are essential for keeping the digital economy running smoothly today — and into the future. That’s why Google supports our data center communities through initiatives like the Skilled Trades and Readiness (STAR) Program, which prepares local talent for regional careers. Expanding on this, Google recently invested $50 million to train over 300,000 Americans for vital infrastructure roles in construction, electrical, plumbing, and sheet metal.

It also builds on funding Google has provided to help the electrical training ALLIANCE (etA) train tens of thousands of electrical workers and the Manufacturing Institute train tens of thousands of workers in essential AI skills.
