Person with Veil Emoji Meaning

Google, Facebook, Huawei, and Microsoft depict the person holding a bouquet of flowers, while WhatsApp's design includes a necklace and tiara. Google's design previously featured a pink veil.
As this emoji predates the introduction of skin tone modifiers in Unicode, many vendors’ early designs depicted a light-skinned woman. Additionally, following its original name of "Bride with Veil," platforms historically depicted this emoji as a woman. In 2020, gender-specific variants were introduced, leading to this emoji being renamed "Person with Veil" and platforms adopting a gender-neutral appearance.
This emoji also predates the inclusion and standardization of emojis within Unicode. It was first added to early Japanese emoji keyboards by au by KDDI in 2003.
