Glen Allsopp’s Post

I've finished four weeks of research into the latest startup revenues and trending business ideas. If you know me you know I put my all into these and want to share a ton of insights (free). No ads. No aff links. Just the biggest updates from the past month. You can go to Gaps .com and click on the first link, or the link is in the comments below. I really hope you find it valuable 🙏

Here's the direct link. Any shares on the above post are much appreciated, as always. I really love putting these together, so hope you find value in it. https://gaps.com/feb-2025/

Love these ALWAYS! Haven’t read in full yet, but saved to pocket. I did want to touch on No. 25 I believe. (Just move in) I was the managing editor at move.org, owned by Clearlink, which owned a bunch of websites that essentially were just like Forbes advisor for the lifecycle of moving in the U.S. The sites were/are pretty bad and purely informational/advertorials (hence why the company had to do so many layoffs), and they just can’t compare to actual tools, like this just move in I’m assuming is. It’s been a few years since I worked there now, but I did a deep dive into websites attempting something like this in the U.S. but I feel like I didn’t find all in one platform and the numbers were tough to make work l, if I remember correctly revenue saying.

This is a great report, as per usual 🙏. I wonder if it might be useful to specify, in section 15, that the "latest revenue" is the "latest *quarterly* revenue". As this time of year annual figures are also announced. I had to double check 😅

Hey Glen, I was curious what you used to create the upvote button at the bottom of your post. Thought it was super cool.

The number of SaaS start ups is truly surprising. Any one I have ever spoken to about this either label it a fraud, inoperative, or simply 'wrong'. I've never come across a company that ever uses it.
