The Global Sponsorship funds are used for the following expenses:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Sponsorship grants to local WordPress events around the world to be used towards venue rental, food and beverage for the event, audio\/visual expenses, etc. (excludes flagship events)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Meetup.com license fees which allows 633 Meetup groups around the globe to utilize the platform to inform their local communities of Meetup events happening throughout the year.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Overhead expenses of WordPress Community Support related to supporting WordPress events during the year (bank fees, liability insurance for all events, professional fees associated with an external audit of the company\u2019s financials)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Please see\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/make.wordpress.org\/community\/handbook\/wordcamp-organizer\/planning-details\/fundraising\/global-community-sponsorship-for-event-organizers\/#rules-for-sponsor-materials\">Rules for Sponsor Materials<\/a>\u00a0for more details about terms of sponsorship.
