Commission Terms & Pricing
I handle commissions exclusively through my Ko-fi page. If commissions are open, you can choose an asset type and make your purchase there. I've created this page to help you understand how my commissions work, and hopefully answer any initial questions you may have.

Scroll down the list and choose a commission type that fits what you're looking for. Not every commission type will be available at all times. If what you want isn't listed, then I'm afraid I can't currently make it for you. Once you've selected a commission, you'll need to fill out the next page before paying.
Each asset type has its own cost and projected time frame. Though your current options may be limited, here's a summary of what things generally cost.
What is a Sponsorship?
Each of the options above starts with either "Commission a..." or "Sponsor a..." in the title. The option you choose has a big impact on the price, as well as your level of creative control.
"Commission" options are much like the traditional commissions you'd find elsewhere: you tell me what you want (within the limitations of the option), and I produce the asset to your specifications.
"Sponsorships" work a little differently. Each sponsorship has a limited list of available assets to choose from. These are assets I would really like to make someday (I've already drawn up plans, and I know what they will contain). When you buy one of these, you are giving me full creative control, and "sponsoring" the asset's production. For this, the purchase price is cut in half. I WILL get around to making these assets someday without any monetary incentive, but there's no telling when that will happen. If you see something you're excited about on the list (and you have the means), you can use a sponsorship to fast-track its development.

Once you've chosen a commission type, you'll be asked to read the following information and make sure you understand everything before proceeding to provide details and payment. That's it!
PLEASE accurately describe your request in as much detail as possible. Explain it in writing with plenty of descriptive language. I need colors, shapes, sizes, emotions, anything that gets me in your headspace. Attach or provide links to sample images or concept art. Your preparation will help me understand your vision with greater clarity and ensure you get the best asset possible. READ: If you're NOT providing visual samples, you MUST select the last add-on on the first page that reads "Please select this if you can NOT provide visual samples!" This is an extra fee that will allow me time to conceptualize, research, and collect reference images for the art. This fee varies by commission type.
All custom content needs to fit in with the rest of the Mana Seed line-up. That means 16x16 map tiles, limited color palettes, and character sprites around 32px tall that are built for 4-direction movement. Mana Seed is limited to low-resolution pixel art fantasy stuff, so please don't request high-resolution pixel art or other forms of digital art. Similarly, modern or sci-fi subject matter is off the table for Mana Seed. Lastly, I don't draw NSFW, and I won't draw anything I find morally repugnant (i.e. no racism, sexism, transphobia, etc).
If your request falls outside any of these guidelines, I may be forced to deny your order and issue you a partial refund, so please read everything here and the standard terms (next page) before finalizing your commission order!

Delivery Schedule
Each commission type has a designation that gives you a general idea of how long it will take once it's at the top of the list:
- Quick-term jobs should take around 1 week.
- Short-term jobs can take 1-2 weeks.
- Medium-term jobs can take 2-4 weeks.
- Long-term jobs can take as many as 4-6 weeks.
- Very Long-term jobs can take 6-8 weeks (or more).
It's impossible to know exactly how long something will take, but I complete all commissions in the order in which they are received, and occasionally need a short break in between jobs. You can take a look at my current workload (look for "COMMISSION SCHEDULE") at the top of my main Ko‑fi page any time to see exactly where your project is on my schedule. I work on commissions alongside my regular Patreon stuff, so I can't guarantee an exact completion time. Please don't place an order if you're on a strict deadline. Delays are inevitable 🤷♀️
Usage Rights
You can use the content you order in any number of commercial or non-commercial products. Apart from that, my standard Mana Seed User License applies (you can edit it; you can't resell it; credit is appreciated but not necessary):
Exclusivity
This is a commission to create non-exclusive custom content to expand the Mana Seed collection. The stuff you order will eventually join the Mana Seed line-up in some way, and be publicly available for others to purchase. Rather than buying permanent ownership of my labor, like a traditional work-for-hire arrangement, you are sponsoring new Mana Seed content that your fellow indies will also be able to enjoy some day.
All commissions include a 3-month exclusivity period by default (where you're the only one who has it and can use it), but you may extend that period to 6 months by purchasing the optional exclusivity add-on found at the bottom of each commission. Revisions
None of my commissions include revisions, so if there's something you want to change after I finish you'll need to get with me for pricing on a case-by-case basis.
Refunds
I do not offer any refunds on work already begun (even if it's running late or you don't like the results). After you first place an order, I will contact you just to go over everything and let you know what to expect and when. I will do my best to fully understand your needs, and I will try to confirm that you understand and are cool with everything I plan to do. This is the only time I can issue you a refund, so please speak up if you're uncomfortable with something. If a refund is necessary (again, only before work has begun), I will send back what you gave me minus the PayPal fee and $20 for my time spent (please be aware: it's a PayPal transaction, so between your transfer to me and my transfer back to you, you may loose 8-10% on top of the $20 fee.
