Will see how reliability goes, but I love the design! It’s color-matched with the same metal finish, and the iMac sits flush in the recessed top so it looks like it’s part of the base!
\n\n",

 "title": "Back to Micro.blog",
 "content_html": "
Earlier today I flipped the DNS settings and officially moved my website over to Micro.blog!
\n
This isn’t my first time using the platform though — I actually started using Micro.blog back in 2018 and ran my website there for several years (thanks Wayback Machine 😆)
\n
But then back in 2022, I got the itch to mix it up and built a little custom site and microblog on my own server. It was a fun experiment, but like always I had more fun building the site than actually posting to it. I also missed many of the features and social elements of Micro.blog, so I’ve decided to move back!
\n
I ended up building a custom theme using a hybrid of the styles from my custom site and bearblog.dev. Many thanks to Manton and Matt Langford for their open-source themes that I used as reference, and to Zoe Aubert for her tip on using Micro.blog’s export feature to run Hugo locally, which was a huge help in quickly testing my changes.
\n
The code is up on GitHub if you want to look at it — although be warned: it’s specific to my site and I’ll probably change it the future, so if you want to use it you’ll probably need to fork it or copy the files. 😄
\n
Anyways, I’m excited to be back on Micro.blog and get back to actually posting things again!
\n",
