TransRockies just debuted an all-new MTB stage race with the announcement of the New Mexico Singletrack event. This event is literally in our backyard here in Santa Fe, so let’s check it out!

The TransRockies Race Series today announced the launch of New Mexico Singletrack, a new three-day mountain bike stage race debuting September 19–21, 2026. Featuring a $20,000 equal-payout prize purse and three distinct stages across Los Alamos, Galisteo Basin, and Glorieta Adventure Park, the event invites riders to experience the culture, terrain, and beauty that define the Land of Enchantment.
Registration opens January 28, 2026 at transrockies.com.

Each day of New Mexico Singletrack reveals a new facet of Northern New Mexico’s diverse riding. Stage 1 in Los Alamos features mesas, canyons, and technical high-desert singletrack beginning near the Manhattan Project National Historical Park, traversing Guaje Ridge, and descending the iconic Cabra Trail. Stage 2 in Galisteo Basin delivers open desert flow and endless horizon lines across smooth, rolling singletrack and wide-open views. Stage 3 in Glorieta Adventure Park provides a purpose-built finale through forested ridges and signature trails such as Holy Mole and Chips & Salsa, blending natural terrain with engineered flow.

With equal payouts for men and women and prizes for overall standings and individual stages, the race is designed to attract both elite competitors and dedicated riders seeking an authentic stage-race experience. Professionally managed and fully supported, the event delivers the hallmark TransRockies combination of community, challenge, and celebration.

New Mexico Singletrack is made possible through partnerships with the Tourism Santa Fe, the Santa Fe Fat Tire Society, and the Leaders of Enchantment Podcast. Each organization plays a vital role in highlighting the region’s creativity, culture, and outdoor recreation opportunities while supporting sustainable trail access and community engagement.
Whether chasing a podium or soaking in the scenery, riders will experience three days of racing that embody the soul of New Mexico—flowing trails, vibrant communities, and a deep sense of place.
