10 NCAC Athletes Compete at NCAA Indoor T&F Championships Friday

ROCHESTER, NY -- The 2025 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships began on Friday, March 14, in Rochester, New York and 10 North Coast Athletic Conference student-athletes took center stage in their respective events and were highlighted by eight All-American performances.

Leading the way for the NCAC was Hiram first-year Gavin Dunn (Apopka, FL/West Oaks Academy), who collected first-team All-American honors after placing fourth in the men's long jump with a mark of 7.38 meters (24' 2.50"), while Wabash senior Will Neuabuer (South Bend, IN/John Adams) posted a top-eight finish in the prelims of the men's 800-meter run, crossing the line in 1:52.03. With his eighth-place finish, the senior will now look to capture a first-team All-American nod in the finals of the 800 which is scheduled for a 4:50 p.m. start on Saturday.

In the men's weight throw, Denison senior Chris Slater (Hudson, OH/Hudson) recorded a distance of 18.26 meters (59' 11.00") to place 13th in the event and earn second-team All-American honors.

In the 60-meter hurdles a trio of NCAC runners collected second-team All-America accolades, as Denison senior Ari Skolnik (Glencoe, IL/New Trier Township) crossed the line in 8.160 seconds for a 15th-place finish in the men's race, while just 0.06 seconds separated Ohio Wesleyan first-year Katherine Dortmund (Westerville, OH/Columbus St. Francis DeSales) and Wooster senior Daysia Hargrave (Orrville, OH/Orrville), who finished 15th (8.872) and 16th (8.878) in the women's race. DePauw sophomore Liberty Scott (Galvenston, IN/Lewis Cass) finished just outside of the All-American standard with a 17th-place finish in a time of 8.90 seconds.

Two more second-team All-American finishes were posted in the women's 400-meter dash and the men's 5,000-meter run, as Wittenberg senior Meghan Frazier (Alliance, OH/Alliance) finished 16th in the 400 in a time of 57.24 seconds, while Wabash senior Brayden Curnutt (Kokomo, IN/Western) placed 15th in the 5,000 after timing in at 14:34.46.

DePauw senior Katie Moore (Lawrenceville, IL/Lawrenceville) competed in the women's pentathlon and recorded a career-high 3,529 points to earn ninth-place and second-team All-American honors after collecting 875 points in the 60-meter hurdles (9.17 seconds), 701 points in the high jump (5'01.75"; 1.57m), 558 points in the shot put (34' 2.75"; 10.43m), 645 points in the long jump (17' 5.25"; 5.31m), and 750 points in the 800-meter run (2:25.52).

The 2025 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships will continue on Saturday, March 15, at the Golisano Training Center.
