Lexember was created by <a href=\"https:\/\/themiaexperiment.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Mia DeSanzo<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/fantasticaldevices.blogspot.com\/2012\/11\/lexember.html\">Pete Bleackley in 2012<\/a>, so this will be its <strong>thirteenth<\/strong> year! Adding a word a day is certainly an easily achievable goal, something that you can do over a cup of coffee, on a commute, or when pulling out your smartphone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you already have a conlang that you\u2019ll be adding words to, check out Stephen Escher\u2019s \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/stephenescher.blog\/2020\/11\/23\/12-tips-for-lexember\/\">12 Tips for Lexember<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you don\u2019t have a conlang, what a great time to start one! How to do that?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Hate a blank page? The <a href=\"https:\/\/troypress.com\/the-phonotactics-of-5e-character-names\/\">average length of a name in the <em>Dungeon &amp; Dragons Player\u2019s Handbook<\/em><\/a> is just 6 sounds long. I actually started late, on December 10 to be exact, so if you\u2019re reading this in mid-December you should still start!<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Heck, don\u2019t worry if you\u2019re doing this in another month entirely\u2014I also did \u201cLextober\u201d in 2021, to make progress on <a href=\"https:\/\/troypress.com\/conlanging-on-15-minutes-a-day-muna-lingi\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"1443\">Muna Lingi<\/a>.
