I've just taken on the most brilliant book (and author). He's not on social media so I can't loop him in, but it's a deeply Welsh literary 'folk horror', set in the Welsh valleys. It focuses on an older couple, together 50 years and the last in a long, long line of farmers

Authors, this story may reassure you about how subjective the publishing industry is: last week I concluded an auction for one of my authors (my first deal since returning to agenting!). The author told me that he'd forgotten to tell one agent that he now has agent rep 1/2

Aspiring authors, I'd welcome your opinions. I have two full MS I've requested, where I love the concept and the writing but both have fundamental issues and require (imo) substantial rewriting structurally. My inclination is to tell the authors what I feel needs doing to
