The UK's online safety act has (or will have) almost exact replicas active in Australia, Mexico, the EU, Ireland and Canada (and likely others in the future). And yet they would have you believe they all just came to this position coincidentally.

I understand the need to act in #Venezuela. The country has seen weeks and of violent protests, the embattled President has less than 17% approval rating and government forces have been gassing and maiming civilians on the streets. Oh sorry, that’s not Venezuela, that’s France.
