🎉 Excited to announce that I'm joining @voidzerodev as DevRel! As I was following the project from early on, I couldn't say no to the chance when @evanyou reached out. I can't wait to share all the incredible things lined up for @rolldown_rs, OXC, @vite_js, and @vitest_dev 👀

Performance in @nuxt_js is amazing by default! But when building your app, you still have to keep quite some things in mind 👀 In the first video of the "Nuxt Performance In Depth" series, we explore the Nuxt payload and figure how to make it smaller! 💚 youtube.com/watch?v=laRJNk…

43x faster than webpack?! Remember how @gitlab got 2.6x faster builds and ~100x less memory consumption when using @rolldown_rs? Now, with all the native plugins enabled, they are down to 22s. That is almost 7x compared to the original 2.5 minutes of Vite, almost halving the
Screenshot from the GitLab merge request saying:

I don't know what sorcery that is but Rolldown team keeps surprising. We're now down from 40s to just 22s for the build:

✓ built in 19.67s
✨ Done in 22.08s.
Just wonderful improvements, great job Rolldown team!
We're now almost 7 times faster (22s against 2.5min) to build compared to Vite. And 43 times faster (22s to 951s) compared to Webpack.

GitLab is reporting up to 100x less memory used and 2.6x faster builds (2.5m to <40s) with rolldown-vite, without even fully enabling native plugins 🤯 gitlab.com/gitlab-org/git…

tsup is not actively maintained anymore 👀 With more than 9 million NPM downloads per month and over 10000 GitHub stars, tsup is undeniably a popular choice for bundling your application. Unfortunately, it is not under active maintenance anymore. That doesn't mean tsup is broken
A screenshot from the tsup repository showing a text above the heading: "Warning: This project is not actively maintained anymore. Please consider using tsdown instead. Read more in the migration guide".

On that note, I've released a video yesterday! Wondering how to inspect your bundle and make your @vite_js based app smaller? Then take a look, as I'll do it for a real-world application 👀
Thumbnail that says "How to INSPECT your bundle", showing a tree map chart and Alex holding a flying Vite icon.

♻️ Quite some people asked me already if it is difficult to switch over from @nextjs to @nuxt_js. In this week's video, I want to show you that it isn't at all. As a migration candidate, I picked @t3dotgg's QuickPic app and moved it over in ~1h. Wanna see how? Link below!

If you are using #laravel as #api 'only', you might want to return JSON on every request, even on errors/exceptions. The easiest way to do so is using this middleware globally.

Vue 3.6 Alpha During Vue Conf CN, the first alpha for the next Vue minor dropped - including ports from alien-signals and the long-awaited Vapor Mode 👀 Of course, I made a video about it and took a look at the new changes. Link below!
The YT thumbnail saying "Vapor Mode and Alien Signals", then showing a v3.6.0-alpha tag and a "<script setup vapor></script>" snippet. On the right, Alex as he looks super surprised on his laptop, vue logo in the back.
