We are midway through Round in the #1950sLeadActor Tournament. All the higher seeds won today, though Rock Hudson had to fend off a strong challenge from Charlton Heston. Round 1 concludes tomorrow with the remaining four match-ups.

David Soul has died at age 80. All the obits will mention Starsky & Hutch in their headlines, but let's not forget Salem's Lot, Magnum Force, and his #1 hit song "Don't Give Up on Us."

What is your favorite Harrison Ford movie OTHER THAN a #StarWars or #IndianaJones film?

My favorite Robert Redford performance won't be mentioned a lot today. It's the episode "Nothing in the Dark" from The Twilight Zone.

Recommend one--just one!--Burt Lancaster movie to someone who has never seen a Burt Lancaster movie. This was a toughie for me, but I went with Seven Days in May (with a screenplay by Rod Serling).

Hearing "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald" today reminded me that there's nothing like a good "story song." What is your favorite story song? "Copacabana" is a favorite, but my top choice might be Bobbie Gentry's dark "Ode to Billie Joe."

RIP Robert Conrad, who died today at age 84. Most of the obits will focus on Wild, Wild West--but he did so much more. Let's not forget Black Sheep Squadron, Hawaiian Eye, Centennial, Palm Springs Weekend, and those famous battery commercials! hollywoodreporter.com/news/robert-co…

Recommend ONE movie with a ONE-WORD title! It must be just one word and "a", "an", and "the" count. My recommendation: Laura.

Tweet an actor wearing sunglasses from one of your favorite movies! I'll go with the lovely Gene Tierney in Leave Her to Heaven. (The restored print looks fabulous, too.)

Recommend one--JUST ONE--Katharine Hepburn movie to someone who has never seen a Katharine Hepburn movie! My pick would be Desk Set. I thought about Bringing Up Baby, but not everyone loves a screwball comedy (though I do!).

Name a movie in which food plays a role! My pick is the charming romance Crossing Delancey, in which Peter Riegert's character sells pickles.
