Supposing Ethel will open for submissions in October for chapbooks/mini books for the 2025 season. So far, I have 2 chaps scheduled, looking for 10 more :)
There are many wonderful presses, including Ethel, that can’t afford to attend AWP, like I couldn’t even afford a plane ticket, never mind a hotel and especially not a table fee! Never mind having to also feed oneself while there. Plus take work off.
Ha, Ethel won’t be at AWP bc we can’t afford even one of the following: plane ticket, hotel, admission fee, taking any time off from work or from working on Ethel w/o falling even more behind 😊 also it’s too stressful and overwhelming and overstimulating. ⭐️

That being said, running a very small press is almost financially impossible.
