“I know I’m human. And if you were all these things, then you’d just attack me right now, so some of you are still human. This thing doesn’t want to show itself, it wants to hide inside an imitation… We’re gonna draw a little bit of everybody’s blood… ’cause we’re gonna find out who’s The Thing”.

Sorry to hear about Bob Burns passing. I met him a few times and he always had time to chat. He had an encyclopedic memory for genre film anecdotes, history, “making of” and especially special effects. Nice guy. I hope his collection of film artifacts find good homes.

Shelley’s Description of the Creature

Posted in Miscellania on November 2, 2025 by MONSTERMINIONS

“His limbs were in proportion, and I had selected his features as beautiful Beautiful!-Great God! His yellow skin scarcely covered the work of muscles and arteries beneath; his hair was of a lustrous black, and flowing; his teeth of a pearly whiteness; but these luxuriances only formed a more horrid contrast with his watery eyes, that seemed almost of the same colour as the dun white sockets in which they were set, his shrivelled complexion, and straight black lips.”
