Alexithymia, ADHD, sensory overload and more can make emotions and regulation challenging for us. Build your skills in this self-paced course.
Do you recognize anger when you experience it? How about joy? What changes in your body when something sad happens? Do you ever get upset and then realize you're having a delayed emotional reaction to something that happened earlier in the day or week?
Many neurodivergent people have trouble recognizing and regulating their emotions. Alexithymia can make this especially challenging as can ADHD. Happily, there are some very easy and straightforward ways to strengthen these emotional intelligence skills.
Dive into the basics of emotional intelligence from certified life coach, and host of The Neurodiverging Podcast Danielle Sullivan. Danielle will walk you through activities that you can do for yourself at your own pace, and with your family or friends if you like.
On completion of this course, you will:
Know what emotional intelligence is and why it’s important for neurodivergent people,
Be able to define and recognize six basic emotions,
Begin to find and recognize how emotions affect your body, and
Be able to begin to regulate emotions to reduce emotional overwhelm.

Identify your masking strategies, rediscover yourself, and start on the path to a future designed to fuel, not deplete you. A self-paced course.
GUIDE: Diane J. Wright, Founder of Autastic.
An exclusive premium course developed by Diane J. Wright, Founder of Autastic.
Identify your masking strategies, rediscover yourself, and start on the path to a future designed to fuel, not deplete you.
When you learn you're autistic in adulthood, the exhale you take after finding an explanation for your entire life might come with the idea that now, finally, you can be your real, unmasked, authentic self.
Until you realize that you don't have any idea who that might be and that, if you're a person of color, unmasking may not be as simple or safe as advertised.
Some of the ways living behind our masks has been described are:
I've been someone else for so long, I don't know where to begin to be myself.
When people ask what I like, I don't have an answer. How do I even know what I like?
I know I need a change in my life but I don't know what I want or how to find out what that might be.
Sound familiar?
This self-paced course was developed as a guide for you to:
Identify your masking strategies,
Rediscover who you are,
Envision a future designed to fuel you, not deplete you, all while
Nurturing your abilities to choose when to mask for safety..
After you've completed the activities in this challenging, introspective course, you will:
Have a clear, detailed, and documented understanding of the multifaceted person you are
Know with certainty what you enjoy, the things and people that are likely to bring you happiness, and what's important to you
Have created a personal roadmap built on insights and skills that you can use to guide your decisions as you build your future.
By reacquainting yourself with the person beneath the mask, you'll enjoy the peace of mind, confidence, and flexibility that comes with earned self-knowledge. And you'll be on your way to transforming your everyday life into one that's designed for you, by you.
This text-based course can be completed in as little as one week but it is suggested to give yourself at least one month to allow the lifelong process to begin unfolding.
