Mikayla Bridge is a fantasy author based in Melbourne, Australia. She loves writing books that feel like a triple espresso: high-energy, heart-racing, and (hopefully) disastrous for your sleep schedule. In her free time, you’ll find her playing mahjong, talking about (and occasionally reading) books, trying to keep her plants alive, hitting the gym, and working through plot holes with her very patient partner. Mikayla has a BA with Honours in Political Science and International Relations from Deakin University. After graduating, Mikayla decided to pursue everything but politics and has worked as a tennis coach, journalist, blue-collar recruiter, editor, copywriter, and even a Christmas elf—though she's made sure there’s no photographic evidence of that.

Cursed Ever After
Andy C. Naranjo Publisher: Macmillan Children's Publishing Group / Farrar, Straus, and Giroux (BYR) Pub Date: June 30, 2026 Genre: YA Fantasy Synopsis: 'Cursed Ever After' is a dazzling romantic fantasy debut brimming with snark, humor, and banter-filled romance perfect for fans of 'The Princess Bride' and 'Once Upon a Broken Heart.' Love is not for cursed girls. Risa is better off without it. Risa Porto is a Bad Thing born on a Bad Day and cursed with Bad Luck. After years of taking the blame for every calamity, mishap, and minor inconvenience that befalls the townspeople of Barrow, she longs for escape. And on her seventeenth birthday, her wish is granted. Sort of. Risa owes a (very annoying) witch a favor, and it comes in the form of a quest: escort Prince Javi―the youngest, handsomest, and least significant prince―through the dark (and deadly) Bosque to his wedding. This measly errand quickly spirals into a struggle against greedy assassins, a murderous cult, a vicious tyrant―and Risa’s own curse. Most unfortunate of all... She is not immune to Javi’s charms and has a highly irritating urge to kiss the prince. Though, surviving the darkest corners of the Bosque is only the beginning. If Risa is to hold up her end of a witch’s bargain, she’ll need a lot more than luck on her side to untangle the web of lies threatening the kingdom. Is Risa willing to pay the price of happily ever after? What if the only person she’s meant to save is herself?

She’s on track to become a promising medical student, yet she feels like she was meant for something else. The life she thought she knew comes crashing down one stormy Kansas day when Thia inadvertently uncovers clues that reveal her grandma has been lying to her: Her mother was never a doctor; she was a scholar of the supernatural, and all she left behind was a strange mirror that Thia’s grandma is convinced is dangerous. Angry with her grandma for her deception, Thia leaves in a rage and accidentally falls through the mirror, killing a witch and crashing into a terrifying land ruled by the cruel and powerful Mage King. Joined by a heartless girl, a cowardly academic, and a boy who cannot remember his past, Thia seeks out the Mage King, the only man powerful enough to send her home and grant her companions’ desires. In their quest, Thia discovers her mother was a part of the rebellion to overthrow the Mage King, and she must reckon with her mother’s real legacy. About the Author:
At the seasoned age of five, Caty Rogan wrote her first story—armed with crayons, dramatic flair, and an unshakable belief that the Power Rangers were actually the bad guys. Shockingly, no publishers came calling. So, she traded crayons for deadlines, earned a journalism degree, and started chasing stories across the globe. Somewhere along the way, she collected a few investigative journalism awards and a deeply unhealthy reliance on coffee. These days, Caty writes the kind of spicy romance novels she used to inhale on long-haul flights. She lives for a badass heroine, swoons for a he-falls-first kind of hero, and survives almost entirely on caffeine, cheesy popcorn, and chocolate. When she’s not neck-deep in fictional drama, she’s wrangling her two boss-girl daughters with the help of her husband—her very own he-falls-first hero—in the Arizona desert.
