The City of Brussels is partnering with the 'Service Citoyen' to engage young people within its Green Spaces Service. On a voluntary basis and for a period of 6 months, young people aged 18 to 25 can get involved in the upkeep of 3 of the most iconic parks of Brussels.
No prior experience is required. The current contract stipulates that the young person must be present 4 days a week at the site assigned to them (28 hours per week) as well as 2 to 3 days a month with the non-profit organisation 'Service Citoyen'.
The programme starts at the beginning of each month, except in June, July and August. The allowance is 12.50 euros per day plus travel expenses, up to a maximum of 100 euros per month.
Ten days' leave are provided over the six-month period. Work clothing is provided by the Green Spaces Service of the City.
